Father Joe Connelly humorous and good natured with touch of the Irish. Be not confused he will provide homilies that hit right between the eyes when appropriate and you know it coming straight from above. As a new parishioner I am privileged to have learned more in these short years than in most of my life about God. Isn't church where we go to be tested in who we are? Tested about our faith hope and charity towards our fellow man? Aren't we responsible for each and every person in this world? Do we feed the hungry? Cloth the poor? House the homeless? The first weekend in December is the Christmas show. This is what I go to. It's vendors of all kinds of crafts, food, etc. I come to pick up sauce, soup, jams, salsa from the Green Girl Grower. She's located downstairs. Plenty of gift ideas here. It's a huge place. As you drive in on the right are all kinds of Xmas trees for sale. Huge parking lot in the front and back and they need it. It gets packed in here. I'd suggest go as early as you can. The actual city is Oakdale. read more
