My father is still able to walk and wanted some independence, but having home cooked meals, a clean room, laundry, medication, and all the support that Fairfield offers on a daily basis made life so much easier for us. It is truly a blessing to know my father is well taken care of and to not have to worry any more. Fairfield is family owned and the owners and staff truly care. It was just a no brainer for us to go with Fairfield as compared to some of the big institution-like senior homes that you see around in Toronto. My father has lived for the last 20 years in Long Branch, Etobicoke, so it was perfect that he could stay in the neighbourhood. His mother tongue is also Ukrainian, which was perfect as there are Ukrainian speaking staff members as well. They celebrate every birthday and always have lots of activities. My father loves gardening, so the owners even specially bought him some tomato plants and herbs and helped him plant a little vegetable garden. We are so happy with Fairfield assisted living and I couldn't recommend them more highly!

I was very worried and concerned for her as you hear so many scary stories about nursing homes and retirement residences but Fairfield is an incredible home. It doesn't feel like an institution. It feels like a home. The bathrooms are newly renovated. There are hardwood floors in all of the bedrooms. There are pretty curtains on the windows and the furniture is quite nice too. There is a common living room with a great big flat screen TV as well as a common dining room that also has a flat screen TV along with an electric fireplace. Before Covid I was able to go into Fairfield so I can tell you the home is meticulously kept. From outside, I can tell you it has exploded with Christmas! Angela, one of the owners, regularly sends pics and videos of my mom which I truly appreciate. I have pics of my mom from their Xmas party, when they decorated gingerbread houses and Xmas cookies, and I have some video from her exercise classes which my mom thoroughly enjoys. I've given my mom an iPad so I'm able to do video calls with her which is really great. The grounds are lovely. There is a big tree in the front and backyards with a patio, table and chairs, bbq and gardens. The staff are all incredible. Mack, Milda, Olga! They are all angels. Thank you! Oh, and the food! Dr Stephanie and Dr Elke had him crawling after 2 visits and he hasn't had another ear infection. He was getting sick 2x/month and has only had one cold since he started going for regular adjustments. He loves his appointments and the atmosphere is very warm and fun. I feel very comfortable with the work that is being done with him. Nothing is aggressive or invasive. Dr Stephanie has also suggested supplements for him and I. I will be bringing my older daughter to the clinic soon as well as I am very pleased with the results and preventative nature of this practice. Her most influential teacher comes to her from Thailand and it's this style that she resonates with most. Doing over two hundred and fifty hours of training in Thailand and India she uses prolonged acupressure and stretching to open up specific energy lines in the body. Also trained in Reiki levels 1 and 2 she incorporates these techniques within all her treatments. The Health Loft is located on Stewart St. just a few minutes walk from King and Bathurst. It is an all women's clinic and along with massage therapy they offer acupuncture, chiropractic services and orthotics. Upon entering I received a friendly greeting and smelled a scent that was reminiscent to minty chocolate. You can schedule your appointments online through their website and for your first visit they will send you forms to complete ahead of time and bring to your appointment or email back to them. In the event that you forget to do so (like I did) you should arrive about 10 mins early to complete the forms. After I completed the forms I was escorted by my massage therapist to the therapy room and had a brief discussion of what areas I wanted worked on and the amount of pressure I prefer. This was by far the best massage I've had in recent memory and have already scheduled my next couple of visits! If you are a woman that lives in the neighbourhood I would recommend checking it out. The massage therapists are registered RMTs so you can submit your claims to insurance if you have coverage.
