I looked at their website, and saw that they do duct cleaning, and the reasons for doing it. I called on July 3rd and I said I would like to hire them for the service. I gave them the square footage and and overview. They said they could see me on July 5th at 9AM. At 8:59AM a serviceman arrived. He explained what he was going to do and then went about cleaning the ducts. He said there was a moderate amount of dirt, and that he has seen worse. After he cleaned the ducts he vacuumed the unit itself, and then blew a chemical into the ducts that would kill any bacteria that happened to be there. I thought it was good precaution to take. He also showed me a better way to put the filter in the unit. I gave them 5 stars -- only because they didn't have an option for 6 stars. It's great to know there's a company like this out there.

I had scheduled my day around them coming--they didn't know the employees didn't come to work until 1215? There was no way they could have let me know sooner and respected my time? They asked if I wanted to reschedule for the next day or wait until they knew whether they'd be able to make the appointment I made. Wait, what? They're offering to give me another appointment window that they don't think they can make? Why would I ever take that option? I've decided to go with someone else. Upon realizing the unit was only 4 years old and installed by the same company, I contacted them requesting a refund or credit on the basis that flare fitting leaks are a known installation workmanship issue. The company declined, citing: * 1 year labor warranty * Normal vibration and settling * Lack of preventative maintenance For context: we have a second AC unit in the same home installed by a different contractor over 10 years ago. That unit has never required a refrigerant repair of any kind. Facts for consideration: * We were a multi-year customer with over $15,000 in total business * Flare fitting failures are caused by improper torquing during installation * Industry standard labor warranties are typically 2-5 years * No partial refund or goodwill gesture was offered * A 4 year old unit failed while a 10+ year old unit in the same home continues to operate without issue.
