The Chocolaterie offers a wide range of chocolates in many forms. You have truffles, drinking chocolate, and many bars. There are a few chairs and tables if you want to sit and enjoy your order. Otherwise, if you're like me, you'll peruse the chocolate offerings. I like their selection for several reasons. First, is the label variety. With label variety comes flavor variety. Each item is also carefully arranged helping the consumer make an informed decision. I'm not a native German speaker so I relied on pictures, percentages, and origin. I found two excellent gifts - a Dolfin variety pack and a 100% single origin bar from Ecuador. I was pleased with my purchases and hope the recipients are also.

Her service was superb. She allowed us to sample a few flavors before making a selection. My #1 selection was candied hazelnut. The hazelnuts are candied before enrobing them in milk chocolate. Other contenders were Blackberry Raspberry, Salted Caramel and the Blond chocolate oh my. The store is beautiful. What I enjoy is you purchase choc by the slab vs piece so you can buy as little or much as you want. Then I find out they're in the States as well!

Zürich, Switzerland…read more This is a chocolate lover's dream and a must-stop when in Zürich. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the aroma of fresh chocolate and displays of their famous slabs, pralines, and seasonal creations. Everything looks (and tastes) amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering samples and explaining the different flavors, which makes the experience fun and welcoming. CHF9.90 for 100g from the slabs isn't that bad. They are quite the size of your palm and that is quite big enough to enjoy. You can get a smaller size too if you want to try them all. It's a great spot for picking up gifts to bring home, but honestly, you'll probably want to treat yourself too. A sweet highlight of my Zürich trip.
