It's a loft-like space with lots of natural light and really well decorated. One thing that set it apart immediately, is it doesn't have that thrift store smell. They're true to their word that they're only selecting good quality items. Sure, some of the items are perhaps a bit plain, but you don't have to take too long to find a few things you'll like. It's certainly not the case of searching for a diamond in the rough. I imagine woman will like the place even more since about 80% of the floor space is for them. There were several shoppers there and they seemed to have no issue picking out great stuff too. Also, prices are GREAT! Anyone who's 'vintage' shopped in places like Kensington Market will know that things can still have relatively higher prices. My items were incredibly inexpensive, including a Banana Republic shirt which showed virtually no signs of wear for $10. I found out at the counter that this is actually a franchise as part of a fairly large chain (which I hadn't previously heard of). Regardless, they're a very unique and welcome edition to the city.

I'm sadden by all the nasty reviews about the ladies working there. I guess you get what you deserve. Treat people with respect and honesty, and for the most part they will treat you well. I have seen nasty consignors and customers there.. asking for discounts (it's already a discount store... ), arguing about the store consignment policy and pricing, etc - so I can see why this can lead to trouble. On a personal level, I dealt with a few of their staffers, and they went over and beyond to find my unsold items after expiry date. There's a review about "the Asian girl" (as one of the reviewers calls her)... super nice, actually. She called me on my cell to let me know she found them and had them aside for me to pick up. As a consignor.. the usual policy is like everywhere else. 55-60% to the store is standard for the mid-range. You only get 50% for super high end items, usually priced over $500 or so in places like VSP, etc. Sure they have to be picky when selective their merchandise; their objective is to sell the stuff they take, not to clean up your closet of everything you bring. The stuff is ok; yes, some are overpriced and I wish they went on sale more often, but this is not staff's fault. It's also about what you see as value. If you expect a Value Village, this isn't it (thank goodness). I had times when I left with tons of scores, and times when I left empty handed. Frankly, few of us need anything for the most part so it's impulse shopping like any other clothing store... I wish the store looked a little more creative, but at the end of the day, Winners isn't any better. Again, be open minded and kind and you can have a great time scouring.. :)

When I arrived the same saleswoman (the same person I had spoken to on the phone) said, "You shouldn't be here!" even though my blouse had been put aside for me, with my name on it. The store confirmation had been sent to the wrong store, as if that were my fault. This woman continued to berate me, saying I should have waited until Tuesday for pickup, a day I cannot take off for shopping. She didn't apologize for her weird rudeness. On the other hand, they have a nice if overpriced collection, but I'll never shop at Andrew's again.

You bring in your gently used items and they will buy things that…read moreare currently trending (which honestly always seems to be forever21 type clothing), and you get a few bucks in cash right back. Sometimes they take a few hours to go through your stuff depending on volume of people. You can leave or shop around while you wait. Shopping here is interesting. It really illustrates how sizes can differ between brands because there's stuff in large that fit a small person, and vice versa. The store itself is usually organized best they can. A few time though, I did want to purchase something and it had tears or rips in them. But they were being sold at the same or higher price than other pieces of similar style. While I understand the idea is that these are pre-owned, I think they need to maybe review the seams a lot closer before hanging up for sale. It's a bit disappointing to think you found something great at a good value, only to realize it's damaged and you can't really justify getting it.

I came across this store and found out they have multiple locations around GTA. So I went to this location, they had a lot of second hand items available. They take brand name items. They don't just take clothes, they also take hand bags, wallets and accessories. You would simply just need to tell them you're looking to sell. You will need to provide your phone number and a piece of photo I.D. They will send you a text once they have gone through the items. Just be mindful that they don't take everything. They can be very picky too. Sometimes I would bring in a bag of clothes and leave with not being able to sell any of it. It really depends on what they need as they had explained to me before they don't want to over stock on stuff they already have or they don't need for the season. So far, I've sold to them 5-6 times and got back about $30-$40 total. It's certainly not a lot of money but to me it's still something. Before I donate the items, I might as well bring them here and give it a shot to see if I could get back a few dollars here and there.

Everyone be advised, if you are buying a gift for someone here, and it doesn't fit (or the person…read moredoesn't like it) you probably won't be able to exchange it for something else, let alone return it. The staff person was adamant, and not at all helpful. We will shop somewhere else for gifts, even though the clothes here are nice. This seems like a very bad business policy, and hey owners, if you read your reviews, you might want to rethink it. We'll be advising people to patronize another business for gifts, right before the busiest gift season.

Is it because I am too friendly? I also have difficulty finding clothes that fit. I only seem to fit into Larges and X-Larges, which is hilarious, considering those sizes usually hang off of me in other stores. It is a bit pricey and while I have bought a few items here, they have been earrings or scarves. Even the hats don't fit my head. Then again, I do have a big noggin...or maybe it is just my hair...
