The flat we had was poor to say the least. Paper peeling from the ceiling , old and scruffy furniture and almost impossible to get a signal for the TV. A parking permit was given to us but trying to get a space is terrible it took us two days until we got one so we had to park elswhere and pay till then.

I think, from the ages of 0 to 3, I lived here. And then many times we'd come back throughout my childhood to visit friends that still lived here, and see the apartment I was a baby in, and so on. As for the apartment building, well it's a typical, slightly dated set of apartments that used to be dirt cheap and are now more competitively priced, right on the main bus line on Banbury Road that will take you down into the centre, and not far from the Summertown shops. Just for the memories alone, I'll give it a 5 star, because in those days, I think - briefly - my parents were almost happy. But that's probably just because I don't remember it. This is review #1982.

I thought seriously about reviewing her on this site .. Would I rather keep her apartments a secret? The company does a good job keeping the units clean and a kitchen stocked with enough pots, pans, dishes and cutlery so you can cook your own food. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. Some of the apartments are not directly accessible from the elevator, you may have to walk up or down half a floor. The front desk staff can help you with your luggage. I contacted the management directly when booking my stay as they had told me that returning guests would get a lower rate if booked directly. Booking.com was still cheaper so I booked with booking.com. The collingham apartments are a short walk to two different tube stops, two supermarkets and plenty of restaurants and pubs.

There is an elevator available if you do not want to walk up and down the very narrow stairs. My flat was a one bedroom, with dressing area, bathroom with tub, living/dining area with room at the table for four plus a kitchen. The kitchen included range top, oven, refrigerator, microwave and washer/dryer combination. Beware - even at the quick setting, it takes literally hours to do washing and drying, but it was still nice to have. The nearest tube stops are Earl's Court and Gloucester. It is near several grocery stores (Waitrose and Sainsbury) and of course it's near many pubs and restaurants.
