While asking for the wine card, we needed to ask at least 3 times while it was basically laying behind us on another table. The starters... Bland, tasteless, lukewarm. The main course, similar, no taste, no structure, not warm... The ordered wine never came.. When making complaints in private to the head waiter there was just a general comment of sorry, will bring to attention of the chef. Not a single attempt from the restaurant to apologies or do some sort of compensation, coffee or other (even though sitting there another half hour waiting for our taxi) A real pitty, if nothing seriously changes there please avoid having dinner there.

The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because some of the rooms do not have AC and that was not stated anywhere so I ended up in a super hot room and had a hard time sleeping. However, the rooms were nice. Also, bring bug spray as there are mosquito's on the patio during certain times of year. All in all I would stay again I would just make sure I have a room with AC. There are tons of great running and biking paths all over.

I typically quite conservative when on business travel and prefer to stay at a Hilton or similar. Also, I steer away from "themed" hotels both on business and leisure, but this was one of the only options near the meeting venue so I went with it. The Arresthuis hotel is certainly not one of these tacky themed places, the prison theme is, believe it or not, very stylish. When we arrived around 10pm, I had quite the challenge navigating the pitch dark parking lot, it would have been helpful to have a bit of light. My colleagues and I were disappointed to hear that the restaurant was closed for the night already. However, the receptionist offered to check and gave us a glass of champagne while we were waiting. After less than 5 mins, he came back telling us we were welcome to eat in the bar, but they could only serve steak and fries. Again I was wary since they didn't ask how we wanted our steak cooked. But the steak was cooked beautifully medium rare and it was just what the doctor ordered after a long day. The next day's breakfast was also very good, quite the spread, including free flow bubbles if you wanted! The size of the room was quite impressive, the bed was comfortable and I liked the non-traditional layout. However, I thought the bathroom was too dark which makes make-up in the morning difficult. Actually even my male colleagues commented about the lack of sufficient light in the bathroom area. Overall I liked the atmosphere. The service, rooms and F&B options were good so I would certainly go again when in the area.

From 2 story apartments to rooms that make you feel like your in a castle back in the 1400's. The pool at the spa here is very nice and relaxing. They have a running trail that takes you thru a field and Into the woods. Very beautiful and when your deep in the woods on the running trail you will find a bar that looks like Robin Hood and his merry men built. Lol. I could go on and on about this place. Put it on your bucket list cause this place is awesome!!!

On second night I was awoken by water dripping from above and ran to front desk at 23:00 hours. They ultimately placed me in another room after determining it was bath water from room above me. Yuck. It took a short time to pack up all my items and move but the night was ruined and I did not sleep well at all. Instead of lowering rate, they charged me the full amount for both nights. In addition, the small room they moved me to had issues with shower allowing water to leave enclosed area (bad design) and I had to use my towels to dry up water.

My room had a twin bed, two night stands, lamps, large desk, bench, private bar and amour. The internet (good speed) and breakfast were included. The restaurant is nice and the food tastes very fresh. Locals came in to eat as well. On one night, I enjoyed the French onion soup, pasta with truffle sauce and then a coffee. All very good, I was surprised only because I didn't know what kind of hotel this might be. I was here work and I recommend anyone come here and stay when in the area.

Just one thing, the bathroom door is transparent and face the room window, so I couldn't turn the lights on with the curtains open. The shower is really nice and big.
