They sell good sausages n bacon in bulk pcks. Plus they do lovely trays of pre seasoned chicken etc. Plus you can buy eggs and a few little jars of pickles too. I spend a small fortune here. you obviously need to know how to use your freezer coz you will need to freeze this bulk meat in little bags or containers. You can buy cheap freezer bags at wilko or savers. at these prices (the meats), every one can afford it. No excuses.

They specialize in game and the window is full of yummy looking homemade pies. I've yet to try one, but I'm betting they're delicious. The owners are really friendly and are diligently there, open early, every time I pop in to pick up sausages for a Saturday morning brunch. The sausages are really worth the trek up the hills...they have a brilliant variety-I highly recommend the chipolatas. In fact, they have everything you need for a really delicious breakfast...organic meat, bakery bread, free-range eggs and locally pressed apple juice....mmm, Archers is one of the establishments I miss most from my days living in Hanover. Every time I pop up to Archer's, there's a little queue of locals picking up milk or eggs, whilst enjoying a friendly chat with the proprietors. It's really refreshing to see an independent ethically-minded business being supported by its community!
