Since it was after 5pm, the building door was locked. I rang the intercom bell 3 times, nobody answered and the door did not open. I called the main number but I could only reach a voicemail. I waited for 10 minutes nothing happened so I took off and sent the practitioner an email. I waited for that long only because it was not raining and the weather was mild (just above 0c). I got a call back from the practitioner right at 6pm explaining that he was giving a treatment when the bell rang. I had already gone home on the assumption that the receptionist did not record my appointment properly since the entire 4th floor was dark when looking in from the outside. It is poor business practice on the part of the wellness centre not to provide advance warning or ANY instructions at all for after hour arrival.

Every time I see her, I learn something new! During an appointment Dr. Carr with continually ask questions on how you are feeling -if a point or a needle feels "too pokey or sharp" it's immediately addressed and she adjusts to another point close by so you still benefit. Dr. Carr also does bio-punture. I find after an acupuncture treatment this addition offer helps to relax me further - in this case a neck/shoulder injury due to a car accident. I find after a treatments with Dr. Carr, I have been very, very relaxed for the rest of the day and I can swing and move with much more easy for another 3-4 days.
