One small glitch, while my wife was still in the hospital, they delivered a bedside commode instead of a walker. When we pointed out the error, the delivery person took the commode back. He returned a little while later with the correct item, very apologetic. Someone had made a mistake but they corrected the mistake, got us a walker like we needed, and were very courteous through the whole process, as well as getting it done in a timely manner. read more

I just received a bill in the mail for $1,065.24 from these guys for a CPAP machine my doctor ordered for me a couple of years ago and my insurance approved. Apparently my insurance company decided to stop paying them a little over a year ago. I should have been contacted immediately. Instead, I get a bill for a years worth of charges and told over the phone that "It doesn't matter, YOU are still responsible for the charges." Today is the first I have heard of it. Also, they refuse to come pick the machine up and will continue to charge me. I would suggest NEVER renting any medical equipment from them. I have used Gulf Medical Services for over 12 years and it was great. Now iIt has been bought out by an out of state corporation and the service has plummeted. Phone calls are not answered and it took me over two weeks to get an order filled. It used to take no more than three days. The order came from Arkansas, used to be local, and some of the equipment was substandard out of country substitutions for the name brands I received in the past. Lastly, people who do answer the phone readily admit that they have no idea as to what C-Pap service is all about. read more
