This is an example of how a monopoly works against customers: the only cafe in a large park run by a company specialised in running on premise cafes: Benugo.
They have recently renovated the old building as part of a larger renovation that's going on in the park. A nice building with a wood burning pizza oven and outdoors and indoors seating areas.
However the food is worse than terrible: the Pulled Chicken Cob was disgusting. Old lettuce and tomatoes, completely tasteless mush that was some kind of dressing, "grilled chicken" (ie boiled with grill marks) and cold bacon on top.
The pizza is probably somewhat decent but salty and the service is a usual Benugo style service which is bad, not caring, unhelpful and entitled and that's bad even with UK restaurant service standards.
Overall, I probably give this place a 1 star just because it's a nice place to drink a pint if the sun is out and if you can get over the jaded waitresses. read more
