Einstein's two theories of relativity were in proposed in 1905 and published 1915 so, this apartment is where Einstein spent most of his days and nights thinking about and testing his theories. It's a small and modest 2nd floor apartment. On the third floor is more museum items like his books, papers, recognitions, and a space where you watch a video so you can learn about his personal life and his career. I thought I knew about his life by watching "Genius". I knew about Mileva being his wife. And there's Elsa who became his second wife - what I didn't know was the fact that they're first cousins! They started their relationship (outside of being cousins) in 1912 and got married in 1919. Another thing I learned about Einstein was about his citizenship. He was born in Germany but he renounced his German citizenship to avoid military service while he was studying in Switzerland. He then got his Swiss citizenship which he kept his whole life while acquiring temporary citizenship in Austria and Germany (again) but renouncing it (again) due to the Naz! regime. He got his dual citizenship (Swiss and US) when he moved to Princeton, New Jersey. There's a lot of information all around this museum. There's a family tree which I found interesting. So, if you know anyone claiming to be related to/ a descendant of Albert Einstein, it's traceable. We bought our tickets at the museum. We got there a few minutes after opening so, there wasn't a lot of people. A few minutes later, it started to get busy. There's a cafe attached to the museum. I didn't get to check it out.

That said, I gave it 3 stars because there's not a lot of variety - neither in drink or food. Otherwise, the venue is great, casual, and laid back. Easy place to meet people because it's central, and the bar is huge so there's always room for everyone.

Klee is a Swiss-born artist and this museum pays homage to his life's work. They also feature other artists in a rotating exhibit. You are allowed to take photographs in the museum which is nice and they have a super awesome children's center with easels and fun activities for the little ones, so if you have small children they would LOVE it here. Many of Klee's work resonates with children's artwork, with the forms, colors, shapes and lines he used. We also really enjoyed the gift shop, and they had reasonably priced knick-knacks and fun stuff (reasonably priced for a museum and Switzerland :) ) We also dined in at the museum snack bar area, the food was just o.k., and not a huge selection so if you're super hungry afterwards grabbing a coffee and a treat (nuss gipfeli anyone?) I might recommend that over getting your full lunch here. They carry the Chaya iced teas here which are super delicious but prety expensive...5 CFH. All in all though, this is a great museum to come to if you are in the Bern area. Expect to spend between 1-2 hours for your visit.

The gift shop had several things I would've loved to buy if I'd had room in my bag.
