The Littledown centre is centrally located near the hospiatl in Bournemouth. There is plenty of…read morefree parking attached to the centre. There is a wide range of activities available to use within the centre including swimming and parties etc. We often visit for the swimming and find the facilities to be good. The pools are heated well and you have free use of the water slides at certain times. The prices for swimming are higher than other areas but the atmosphere and staff aid the high price by making us feel welcome. The changing rooms could be a bit cleaner at busy times but we always let the staff know when they need a touch up.

Planners would benefit in adding a picnic area and kids playground as there is nothing like that available down there, unless you count the new indoor play area for children but again this costs, and adults also have to pay to go in. Quasar type of game is also available in the same building as play area, but again it is pricey.. Tips I can give for locals and holiday makers is the cinema does hold a juniour empire session where for a pound each adults and children can watch a choice of 2 films, which the cinema choose to show, these can sometimes be very recent ones and our shown only at 10.30am on a sat or a sun..

Alongside them is a Tesco extra superstore and petrol station, its worth a look if in the area, just look for Poole's water tower.(For those who don't know it looks like a large concrete wine glass !!!!) The park is good for older children and adults but young children have a small indoor pool or out door pool and a slide and small climing frame and that is it.. There are a varirty of prices depending on how long you want to stay. there is a day ticket which allows you to leave the park and return later. or you can have a 2 hour ticket, I would suggest you try that first and see how it suits your family.. Please also bear in mind certain flumes are height and age restricted so best to chek in advane so you have no tears..

The cost to get in and swim is hugely expensive at £8 for two hours or £11 for all day. I don;t think you could spend all day here as there isn;t enough slides. People obviously like the swimming site however as there are always queues to get in. I think the spectator charge at £4 is hugely ridiculous and should be stopped. To sit there and watch children who don;t stay in one place long enough to actually see them is ridiculous, the place could make money from sellng confectionary rather than making people pay to sit on a chair.

And the vending machines all so stock all unhealthy food.. As for staff stay away from the reception desk and you will be fine, lifeguards are friendly though and helpful..

This childrens farm is amazing - one of the best I have ever been to. Its got a really big car…read morepark, then you enter the farm over a bridge and are surrounded by play areas and walks. There are three main play areas - one for older children with big climbing frames to play on and in - one shaped like a horse is always a big hit! There is a sand pit in the middle great for younger children if you have older ones on the play equiptment. The second play area is for under 6's and is full of little houses which my little ones love, running in and out of the houses. There is also a play barn with straw - which is a bit annoying as the children come out covered in it but they have loads of fun! There is a large picnic area with a few lovely climb on statues, and chickens and ducks wandering around. There is also lots of walks and well signed routes around the farm, along the river and through fields. In the warm weather there is a river to paddle in. In the summer they have tractor rides - a pound each but always a hit! Animals - they dont have many but they have enough to entertain young children - a few pigs, cows, sheep, donkeys, and a little petting area with rabbits, peacocks and chickens. Really the main emphasis is on playing so teh animals are more of a sideline i feel. There is a restaurant and a cafe which is ok, fairly standard fair and not excellent but does the job. There is also a butchers and a bakers - lovely good quality meat. All in all a nice afternoon out - busy in school holidays but very quiet in term time. Its a £2.50 donation each - they leave it to you to put it in the tubs around the farm. Closed on a monday.
