Beyond the ultra-convenient location, this pub offers warm hospitality, an extensive drink menu (including zero-proof beers for your N/A pub pleasure), and good prices. It was easy to find vegan and vegetarian options. I was torn between the veggie burger and the vegan shepherds pie, until a shepherd's pie went by on its way to another table, and I was sold. The vegan shepherd's pie is a hearty dish but is not heavy. Made with the classic savory pie veggies (carrots, peas, and onions), this pie is full of flavor. Lentils stand in for the lamb, and there's a bit of tanginess (from something tomatoey, I think). A neutral, pure-white layer of starchy goodness helps ensure that you're able to get every last bit of flavor, and a layer of toasted vegan cheese adds crunch. It was super-satisfying, and I was sad that I couldn't finish it (like I said, generous portions--don't eat a late lunch!). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This place is popular among students as well as interns at Phillips. Some others and I had a dinner event that we need to hold and decided to have the event here. We were glad we did because they were quite accommodating to our big group of 40 people and it worked out pretty well. I love their green beans. They have 2 (or 3 now) vegetarian options which are both very good, tasty, and filling. I will miss this place! The only warning is that it can get really crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.

No contest. I was addicted to their Schnitzel mit Champignons. Very lightly coated with flour. Extremely well seasoned. Tender yet crisp. Blanketed in a decadent cream sauce dappled with mushrooms. Mit pommes. MIT POMMES!! Möchtest du Mayo? Kein Problem!! Even the side salads were crazy lecker. Trust and believe! And the service was bar none, a-number-one, aces, tops, uzw. A friend and I once stayed there well after closing, killing bottle after bottle of Riesling, and the owner/manager continued serving us! Very rude of us for sure, but the staff were quite gracious despite our appalling lack of manners. Hey, we've all been there, so don't judge too harshly. Peter's certainly didn't. When I think of schnitzel, Peter's inevitably comes to mind, often times haunting me and taunting me in my dreams. And yet, no matter where I go -- even in Bayern where good food is the trademark, nothing comes close. Not even by a mile or a kilometer. And that's why I hate this place so soundly! The Breakfast is very nice, good variety and much more than someone could eat in one sitting. I feel guilty with the amount of food I don't eat. The dinners are absolutely awesome. The schnitzel is the best I have had during my many months of work travel in Europe. Sofia is fantastic and made me feel at home the minute I checked in. Can't wait for dinner tonight!
