I wanted a personal trainer so all in all i paid $700 for 3 months. During those three months I discovered that their trainers are sweet but not effective at all! There are some true gems like Nadia and Caroline but for the most part the trainers are less than motivational and seemed bored. Among other indicators, i know this because I worked with 6 different trainers and during my one-on-ones I often made some intentional errors in my stance/position, things that are obvious "no-nos" and the trainers said nothing at all. In addition trying to get an appointment with one of the good trainers is impossible (and i understand, everyone chooses them!) This gym has a lot of services packed in this small space... They get one of their stars for the options available to their clientele and for the group classes they offer (Tabata class with Nadia was a favourite); the other star goes to some of the wonderful ladies that work there. We all have our own personal fitness goals, but going to the gym takes energy, motivation and self discipline. So when we get there, we deserve knowledgable, experienced and professional help. After 3 months of training i saw no real results. At the end of the day my personal physical results are my responsibility and I can't blame a gym or trainer for that; but if you're going to spend your hard earned dollars somewhere, look for another place.

While on vacation in Quebec, I was looking for a welcoming yoga studio to practice, where I could…read morescratch the itch for both exercise and relaxation. Namaste Yoga is where I found it. I don't speak French but was received with a friendly welcome, and was able to follow along thanks to the instructor's demoes throughout class. The sequence he put together (Bernard) was thoughtful and approachable by students of all levels. The studio itself is bright and open, and facilitates a good feeling of community. The citrus water is a great touch. I'd practice here regularly if I lived here and hope to go back during this trip.

This is my third year as a member (both pool and gym membership), and the level of service gets…read moreincreasingly worse each year. Weekend lane swim has decreased from approximately 12 hours to 2.5 hours on Saturdays with no swim on Sundays. Last year the gym was open until 8:30 pm on the weekends, this year till 4:30pm. There was no advance notice of the closure. This Sunday morning, their online schedule showed free swim hours on Sunday. By afternoon, this schedule was removed from their website with not explanation. When pressed, the staff person said the closures were due to other (Paid?) events (day camps, etc.) taking place during these hours during the summer. It appears to me that PEPS is trying to increase its summer revenue to the detriment of its members that prepay their annual fees. Do not let them take advantage of you like this.
