I want to offer a warning and share an honest opinion about the nightclub called Sketch Nite (http://sketchnite.com). If you're considering going there, please rethink your visit. I hadn't even entered the club when I was severely assaulted by a security guard. Politely, I asked, 'Could you please provide me with information on where the line begins?' The security guard became incredibly angry. As I turned to respond to my friend, I was unexpectedly struck in the back of my head and then pepper-sprayed by the security guards, for no apparent reason (I was sober and well-dressed). I have never witnessed such a level of aggression in my entire life. I'm unsure if it was due to racial hatred or some other reason, but it is simply horrifying to be assaulted by the very people who should be there to protect. I strongly advise against visiting this place. Guys, I've been to approximately 30 clubs around the world, and I have never experienced mistreatment like what I endured here. I'm at a loss for words. I am even considering taking legal action against the club. Take care!

They came out traditionally boiled, but I'm sure this would've been even better had they been fried. 29PLN/$6.75 Herring Tartare...I enjoyed this appetizer, but I know herring is not for everyone. Its a mix of fish, onion, cucumbers, capers, mushrooms and french mustard. 17PLN/$4 Glasses of wine, I got two lovely pinot grigios. FREE spiced feta cheese spread with bread...this was wonderful, and I'm shocked they're not charging for this! I highly recommend visiting Poland, you get so much for your American dollar! The infusion of blueberry and lavender was surprisingly more balanced and didnt tip the scale towards the sweeter side. (So I ended ordering another towards the end of the meal). Now for the food...I was just blown away. I ordered the special which was a large pork chop with some plum sauce concoction that I cannot describe other than being subtly savory and sweet but an absolutely perfect complement to the hefty, juicy and tender bone-in pork chop. I was already full at this point since I finished it all but the waitress did highly recommend the panna cotta dessert which I'm so glad I gave in and ordered it. It was topped with a black sesame sauce with bits of pistachio. Additionally, there was a portion of what looked like/tasted like dragons beard but it added another layer of depth to the already superb dish. The ambiance is a mix of cozy, trendy and elegant which can be more casual or more formal depending on your occasion. I came in around 2pm so I must've missed the lunch rush since I heard this place gets some longer wait times. As for the staff, the waitress and bartender were both extremely attentive and friendly. They both would always check in to see if I was enjoying the food and if there was anything else I needed/wanted. This place came very highly recommended by a local in Warsaw and I experienced why :)

A cocktail menu in English only (how is that cool? How is exclusion of of actual Polish citizens from participation in their own bar a statement of anything other than elitism for its own sake?) describes a longish list of mostly disappointing drinks, all on the sweet side. They aren't badly priced though (but absurdly, a bourbon and soda cost nearly twice the price of a drink with fire and berries and muddled passionfruit that took 15 minutes to make). UPDATE: The owner tells me they now offer their cocktail menu in Polish as well. Good for them. And the beer list is pathetic: Grolsch or Grolsch. At a time when Poland is going through a craft-beer renaissance, this just won't do. UPDATE: The owner has sent me their new, much more respectable beer list (mostly Belgian beers). My original three-star rating stands, despite these improvements. It was generous the first time but now seems fair.
