First time here so of course I had to get a lamb gyro! The service was very adequate and had my order in a few minutes and the owner even brought it to my car. A quick warning, do not try to eat a lamb gyro in your car lol. It had a good portion of lamb but I did find it rather over salty. He did offer me hot sauce but forgot to give it to me. The veggies seemed fresh but I only counted 1 chunk of tomato so a little dissatisfied there. Overall the gyro was good, and price was reasonable. I've driven by this establishment many times. I decided today with my husband to give it a try. He said let's share one of these. It was cold and kind of rainy. There's nowhere to sit except picnic tables. We decided to sit in my car. He ordered the beef Gyro. It was nice and hot when we received it. Upon trying to eat it, I was a whole Nother thing. It totally fell apart when you unwrapped it slightly. The meat was mixed in with the Taziki altogether. The lettuce and tomatoes were plentiful and fresh , but just on the top. You were not able to take a bite of the whole experience. There wasn't any feta either. I later found out this was my husband's fault. He said no feta. That was crazy and not the owner's fault. The pita was pretty good. All in all it just fell apart and wasn't a good evening experience. I didn't care for that Taziki being mixed with the meat and the veg. I prefer everything more traditional. The gentleman did offer us some lamb and rice. I liked the rice a lot and the lamb was good. Very nice guy. read more

I came by on a misson stopped by this little red truck and the food was worth the drive plus the money, Authentic delicious lamb gyro took their time preparing it. Service is fine, quick and friendly most of the time. Always go for the lamb gyro plate, you get lots of food and the lamb is always cooked so perfect! Comes with a dolma, but got plates thay didnt have it. I've tried a few other things like the lamb salad which is pretty good too if you want something lighter. I've also tried the beef plate but when I got it the beef was super over cooked, so I haven't tried it again. Their lamb is cooked so good every time I just can't get anything else there. read more

OK, other Yelpers aren't wrong on this one; Gyro King is....KING! But seriously, this is now another go-to for us that's gonna become a regular haunt. The lamb melted in my mouth with a deliciously rich after-taste without that oily ending, and their fries are AWESOME. Crisp and seasoned with a light battered coating, not salty...perfect. The kabob shawarma was very tasty as well, and we had all that plus 2 baklava for just a little over $25. Yup, we're gonna get real familiar with this place. Totally recommend! read more

The food tastes good and is reasonably priced. Unfortunately, there is no place to sit. This place was designed for to-go food.

Appreciate the fact that the lamb is chopped rather than carved. Amazing meat texture accompanied by great taste. Definitely a surprise. I hear good things about the fries so I might be returning for those. read more

While waiting for our food we observed thru the pickup window the woman taking orders and accepting cash, leave the food cart thru the back door, come back in and take pitas out of the bag and hand them to the cook, touch her hair, and face, ALL WITH THE SAME GLOVES ON! Then a young woman entered the cart with several foam boxes of food, and went straight to the fries and ate one! We approached them about this and were told they dunk their gloves hands in a bucket of bleach water which also happens to be where they store the cash (in the bleach water!) to 'sanitize them' therefor they can keep the same gloves on. We didn't it witness said sanitizing process however, and even if I did I'm not sure I want you touching my pita bread handing it to the cook with freshly bleached hands. read more

I ordered the falafel rice, which showed a picture of falafel, rice, tzatziki and a small salad. Instead of the salad I got hummus and a dolma. I was really looking forward to the salad, but next time I'll just get the falafel platter which comes with it. Everything is very, very good. All this for $9! It'll be two meals for me. We wanted a place to quickly stop while traveling on I84. This place is just a couple blocks detour and was fast. The gyro meat portion is generous and the gyro was delicious. The fries were really crispy and as good as they get. They offer free additional sauces. It's a little sad that was a unique bonus, but it was appreciated. The best part is the owner (or workers) were smiling and laughing. We will stop again when making that drive. read more

I stopped by this place and grabbed a chicken gyro and fries. Though it came out really fast, it was super disappointing when I opened it. The chicken was fatty and sinewy and I ended up picking it all out. The rest was just filled with shredded iceberg lettuce and way too much sauce. The fries were squishy and bland. I threw it out with lots of food still left on the plate, just soaked lettuce and fatty pieces of chicken. I'm confused how this place has 4 stars so far - definitely do not waste your money here. read more

Great little food cart in Wood Village. The owner is a really nice guy. The menu is picture based, so ordering is pretty easy. The pictures clearly show what you are ordering. I ordered the traditional lamb gyro and french fries. Wow! The lamb was the softest, most tender lamb I have ever had in a gyro. I'm the kind of guy that hates gristle on meat. The lamb had none. Beautiful, meaty chunks filled the pita. Unlike some places where you feel like you got ripped off with two or three thin little strips; this wasn't the case. The french fries were crisp and tasty. They seemed to have a light coat of seasoning on them. This was my first time trying this place out and I recommend it to anyone in the area or passing by. Update. For those that are wondering why I only gave 4 starts instead of 5; I grew up in the restaurant business. I'm highly critical and I don't throw 5 stars around that easily. We drove here from Hillsboro and it was well worth the drive. We got the chicken and lamb Shawarma with a side of French fries. WOW! :) Very delicious meal. The French fries are some of my favorite and the lamb was the best I've had in a long time. The gyros were big enough to split but we didn't want to.
