Been few times already and it's been great! Since the nearby four season market quality went down the hill, the gyro spot became the one and only spot to offer Turkish doner (chicken, lamb and beef) in addition to delicious appetizers and other Turkish cuisine food. Let's start with the inside decor. The place has stylish comfortable leather chairs with real wood tables. There are about 10 tables inside. You can see the food being prepared behind the counter including the doner cone. We tried the Adana kebab plate, chicken doner, Anatolian style fried liver (as an appetizer), and Manti. Everything was delicious and very tasty.

Just alright, they forgot the sauce that I told them twice that I wanted. Think they are still working through some things with service.

Great authentic food, perfect spot for family dinner. Friendly and caring staff. We have food allergies and they were very helpful!

Thankfully, Shak's Chicken & Gyro in Burlington County completely changed that for me and filled that void in the best way possible. The food here is exceptionally good. I ordered the chicken and lamb gyro, the chicken and lamb platter, and the chicken platter -- and every single item delivered on flavor, quality, and portion size. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the portions are very generous, making it well worth the cost. I even had leftovers to enjoy later, which is always a bonus. The salad was fresh and crisp, the lamb and chicken were perfectly seasoned and flavorful, and the rice was cooked just right -- fluffy and well-balanced. Everything came together beautifully for a very satisfying and delicious meal. If you're in Burlington County and craving excellent Halal food -- especially if you're missing that authentic New York-style gyro experience -- Shak's Chicken & Gyro is absolutely worth checking out. Overall, I give Shak's Chicken & Gyro a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended! 1/2

Adana kebab has a weird taste and the kofte and burgers are chewy...it looks like chef Usman left and took all the recipe secrets... Really disappointed with the food quality at this place. We used to get the ready to grill Adana Kabab and kofte and prepared doner, but since the butcher chef Usman left this place few months ago, the meat quality is not like before. Chef Usman used to also prepare homemade awarma and Sujuk. I'm now hesitating to buy awarma and Sujuk from this place. Really sad to see this happen to one of my favorite stores in the area. I guess we will have to look for another place that prepares the Turkish products the way chef Usman used to. By the way, All the photos I'm posting here are from the time when chef Usman was the butcher at this store.

She decided to take me there and I have to say I was really surprised. It is a Turkish market with halal meat. The gyro are chicken during the week and beef in the weekends. It was different the. The traditional gyro because it is served as a sandwich not on a pita. It also does NOT have the normal white sauce. I requested to have the chicken gyro sandwich how it would "normally " be made. It was great. We also bought bread and that was fantastic as well. Stop in and give it a try.

We both ordered the lamb and chicken over rice, naan and a side order of stuffed grape leaves, 2 sodas. Food was good, but more rice than meat. Well, I always went for the chicken because I don't need to worry about non-meat options but the food was always really really good. One other consistency was the service! The team at Royal Grill 37, which always seems to be busy, is ALWAYS customer-focused and friendly!! For some reason it has been awhile since my daughter suggested Royal Grill 37 and I didn't know why but there are lots of options for take-out in the area but I was going to be in the area by myself and I wanted something good to eat so I called Royal Grill 37 and ordered my favorite. Chicken over Rice with extra white sauce. I walked into the small storefront restaurant that gave off a nice positive energy. Yes, I felt very welcome and that friendly team was friendly just like they always have been. They handed me the 'heavy bag' because you always get a lot of food at Royal Grill 37. But when I opened the container to enjoy my solo dinner it was ugh ... the food was not tasty and the amount of chicken was minimal on top of a big pile of rice. The side salad was ok. But it really didn't taste very good ... yes, I know I could add the tasty white sauce but that would merely hide the fact that the chicken wasn't very good. When I talked to my daughter later she said that they had stopped going there because the taste just wasn't what it used to be. Not sure what happened .... GREAT SERVICE ... LOTS OF FOOD ... REASONABLE PRICE ... but ugh, I don't think I will go back.

Just know that you won't save time calling first. The lamb gyro platter was enough for two meals. It was spicy but tolerable. A lot of lamb and rice. Not too much salad. They did not have the chicken biryani so tried the brown stew chicken. That was really good. Very moist and flavorful. We had asked for rice and beans, cabbage and plantains. We got yellow rice, cabbage, and collards. The cabbage was on the sweet side and cooked perfectly. Still had a little crunch to it. The collards were good. Nice amount of spice. I found Aamir's Halal Jamaican kitchen in the Country Club Plaza Shopping Center and walked in to check it out. Service was with a smile and the menu laid out on the cashier counter was extensive. I opted for a lamb gyro with white sauce wrapped in a thick pita. There were only two tables for eating in, so I had my gyro bagged for home consumption. I also too a chance on a pineapple ginger drink that appealed to me. The lamb load was enormous, well grilled and heavily spiced, with lettuce, tomato and onion filling the capacity of the premade pita. With the white sauce squirted over it all, it was actually more than I could consume in one seating. I enjoyed it, it was a situation where less would have been more. The small shop was designed for takeaway, and it accommodated a steady stream of customers going in and out. I enjoyed the Jamaican patois coming from the kitchen, which gave the restaurant a very pleasant atmosphere. Four Skas and a bag of Reggae
