Very poor service. I went online to find a good place for Greek food near where I work, viewed the menu and decided to order. I went to the restaurant and I placed my order and the amount was higher than the advertised prices online so I asked why it was more and the owner said they were the old prices. I proceeded to get cash out of mt wallet to pay for the order and the owner said and I quote......:"If you don't like my prices, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that I could go to" and I said "Excuse Me" as I was getting ready to pay and he repeated to me that I could go to another restaurant if I did not like his prices! When we lived in that area we frequented this Greek food place at Power and Jensen, south of McKellips quite often. We moved to the Eastmark area and after Covid, we hadn't been back until today. Their food is excellent, especially the gyro. The seasoned lamb is loaded, and l mean loaded, (so come hungry) onto their flat bread with tomato, onion and sauce. Flatbread is soft and delicious. The lamb is thin sliced to perfection. The young lady working the counter was so friendly and definitely the right person to be the one taking our order and making us feel welcome. There's not allot of seating, but we got there around 11, right as they opened, so was able to sit pretty much wherever we wanted. In the past we had taken our kids who are also adults, and they absolutely loved the food as much as we do. We will definitely be back to this wonderful family owned small business that hasn't forgotten about excellent quality food and warm and friendly service. read more

We've been eating here for years. It's a very small, family owned spot that serves very fresh and tasty food. We like it much better than the newer pita spot in the area that opened not to long ago. Pro: Mom Pop store (probably originally from greece) Service good, Portions large. Good tasting sauce in the pita Cons: Ordered the Shish kabob. Got unseasoned (read no salt, brining or any basic marinated cut of beef). They used the worst part of beef hence the shish (skewered) meat was super tough still contained gristle (no trimming done) and was flavourless. Sauce though tasting good should ideally be made of only yougurt. This also had a mayolike base. This was the best gyro I have had in Arizona. Cute hole in the wall place, hidden behind a building at the end of the strip mall, but so worth it! It is very small, only a handful of tables. We got there and were lucky to snag one and despite the never ending line of people coming in, the service was quick. We ordered and the food came out in about 10 minutes. The pita bread was perfect, we ordered extra taziki and loaded it up! There was a ton of meat on the gyro, it was tender, not dry, and full of flavor. The fries were also excellent and all this for under $10. There was so much meat on it I couldn't even finish the whole thing. They have a couple seats outside as well which with this perfect weather that is coming will be awesome. Can't wait to go back! read more

I used to love this place, but the service is absolutely horrible. I called in and asked about a coupon they show on the website about 10% off of $30 or more. they say that I went to the wrong website (their own website) and that I should have used Google. which is how I found their website. i place the order at 5 PM and I'm told it will be ready for pickup at 5:25. I show up at 5:30 knowing they're notorious for being late, thinking I'll give them extra time. When I get to the counter they say it will be another 15-20 minutes because they haven't even started the order. Why did they quote me 20 minutes to make me wait another 20 minutes in the tiny dining area? This service is just unacceptable for a decent gyro. Great little place. Not much dining space but it was perfect for getting some gyros and hummus to go. You could certainly eat there too if you wanted to grab a quick bit on your lunch hour. Service was fast and friendly, the gyros were flavorful, and the hummus tasted nice and fresh. read more

I was excited to see if it was good, cause the only other Greek place in this area, is Daphne's Greek Cafe , and My Big fat Greek wedding (which I avoid), so I was hoping Gyro's Place was going to be good..and it is!! I ordered the regular Gyro with fies and a drink, and I love it! Their fries are Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside..well salted which I love!
