The room was cozy, clean and the perfect size. Bernhard, the owner, was very nice helpful. They have a wine cellar on the property at which we did some wine tasting. Bernhard made us eggs in the morning plus we had other things in buffet style available for breakfast: deli meses, müesli and yoghurt, breads and jellies (home mad by his mother) coffee, juice. I would highly recommend this place for your stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Parking outside is on the street and although there isn't a lot of parking spots on the street, we never had an issue finding a place for our car. The breakfast is simple, but fresh rolls, cold cuts, cheese and hot coffee were a great breakfast each morning. The owner and staff are very friendly! I don't know how much English is spoken since my husband speaks German, but I'm sure you can make due these days with google translate.

The family members rented most of the rooms in this b&b and we were all very very very happy with the room and the service. We were in a room upstairs with a king bed. The room is clean and very homey. The bathroom is a good size and has warming towel rack. The hotel itself is very cozy and warm and they served really really yummy breakfast every morning!!! It was about 65 euro per night for our stay including the breakfast!!!! Since we were "country hopping" (the reunion was just a side detour of our trip), we also asked the owner if they could help us with laundry and they charged us each about 4 euro to do our laundry! They even fold the clothes and we basically gave them the laundry in the morning and they were neatly folded (and clean) on our bed when we came back in the afternoon. We also got the Ruhpolding city/travel pass with our stay there that granted us to visit the local attractions (including the cable car up to the mountain!!!) for FREE!!!! I certainly recommend this b&b for those traveling the area. It's very "country" and relaxing! love love it so much!

There is a biergarten on the side of the building and a small bar in the main foyer. Order "ein Helles" to compliment your meal, you won't regret it. The other part of the business is a bed and breakfast. The breakfast is amazing- fresh wurst, brotchen, eggs, butter, coffee. All prepared by Sebastian's wife. It's a family-run place, and all the kids work there as well. Great ambience and the Schmidmayers are extremely welcoming and make you feel like family. The rooms are basic, and it is part of a working farm. There are cow pens directly adjacent to the gasthaus and in the summer the smell can become strong. The TV's are on the fritz a lot; some rooms have CNN International and some don't. For 50 euros a night, you can't beat it though. Plus the food and beer (ein Helles) are amazing and right downstairs. Great place if you are visiting Rosenheim/Stephanskirchen or even as a base for visiting other areas such as Salzburg, Innsbruck, Lake Cheimsee or Munich.
