A hotel with its very own mall...or the other way round!…read more Location: The hotel is part of the "Forum", a huge mall that sells anything you might need...even its own hotel! It's smack in the city centre, next to the main train station. It's also in about 5 minutes walking distance to the riverside. Perfect! Hint: it might be a tad confusing at first, the hotel is located entirely in the 5th storey, only entrance and reception are down in the mall. Rooms: I can only talk about the business class rooms, but mine was roomy, with a nice design, modern, well-lit due to huge windows, the bathroom is clean and the bathtub (yup, there is an actual tub) is huuuuge! The fact that the hotel is situated in the city centre means that there's of course a lot of noise, you can hear the cars outside, but taking that into account, it's actually relatively quiet - you might hear people in the hallway, but no sounds from your next door neighbours - thank God!! The breakfast buffet was simply fantastic. There's a huge selection of everything your heart could desire, cereals, sweet pastries, bread, rolls, eggs & bacon, fresh fruit, even smoked salmon etc. There are several freshly pressed juices to choose from, and - this is my favourite part - in the corner, there is even a vintage suitcase filled with snacks and drinks for "on the road", that you can take with you, I love this idea!! The staff is very attentive, the lady at the breakfast buffet was constantly checking to make sure everything was fine, and you even had your very own coffee can. The receptionist was also really nice, helping us out when we needed to find something in town. On top of all this, there's a small "gym" and a sauna. The only thing that was a bit "negative": the beds are tiny....as in so tiny, even I almost fell out during the night - definitely not made for people who tend to move a lot during sleep...make sure you get a king sized bed in that case! And maybe I wouldn't exactly want to go here own my own, in the middle of the night, as a woman...but that has little to do with the hotel but with the city itself... Bottom line: * great location * great rooms... *...but make sure you don't fall out of bed * fantastic breakfast buffet... *...check out the suitcase in the corner! In my case my cooling vest and ice packs. Security, TSA, Police all were called and after explaining what it was and showing a letter written and signed by my doctor explaining what it was and why it was needed, a few swipes and some tests and we were good to go. Hot tip: bring a doctors note for ADA medical devices etc. It just might get you out of a jam.

The only flaw was the shower set up, no shampoo & conditioner which was strange, no door, thus good amount of splash bounced off the wall during shower. In addition, the room smelled bad a day after using the shower which was really bothersome. I spent some time & tracked the source down to the invisible drain under the wooden shower floor。 I am pretty sure it's either the drain or the wet underside of the shower floor that bred bacteria which caused bad smell. There's no access, no easy way to fix it, I ended up flushing the drain using the shower, wasted a lot of water but the problem went away.

We only had a bit of trouble at dinner because the kitchen was terribly slow. Unforgivable, so I'm dropping a star. But hospitality standards were good, and the taste was exquisite. The room was nicely decorated, like a modern cabin vibe. In fact the hotel being next to the Alpenpark (indoor skiing) resembles a skiing resort in the mountains. There are places to eat , ski store and mini golf in hotel. Also an entrance to the Alpenpark right there in the second floor. You can see the slope and lifts from different areas in the hotel, super nice to keep an eye on kids. Next morning we tried and enjoyed the breakfast buffet, I would recommend.

Never had this before in any other NH Hotel or other hotel in Germany. - One curtain in my room was too short, so I woke up early in full day light. After making a complaint about this at checkout the only reaction was "we will inform housekeeping, besides this you had a good stay?". No understanding of the problem at all. - Breakfast buffet is with 24,90 euros way too expensive for what you get. - Bathrooms are outdated for this type of hotel. The only positive point is that you can request a free late checkout on Sundays (till 17.00).

The bed was not that comfy but for 60EUR we didn't complain too much since it was only one night. The main train station is a ten minute walk from the hotel and there are some restaurants close by.
