The included breakfast served up many options, and the flower-filled yard surrounding the villa was a nice and sunny place to relax. It's also fairly centrally located but far enough away from the city center so it's not too loud when there are street festivals going on at night. What really stood out to us was the friendliness of the villa owners and their concierge, Katja. The Vitzthums are so welcoming, friendly, and outgoing. We really enjoyed visiting with them and learning more about Zell am See. Katja was particularly knowledgeable about goings-on in the city and surrounding area and gave sound advice on what tourist activities to pursue, etc. Overall, we had an unforgettable stay at Villa Klothilde and would book with them again in a heartbeat!

My room was spacious, a large 1 bedroom with a separate living/dining room area (refrigerator, but no way to heat things). It was a little run down, but I wasn't exactly paying for a luxury hotel. I didn't bother to patronized the overpriced restaurant or bar, but I also had a car. My biggest complaint was that I couldn't connect to the (paid) wifi at all in my room and was told that I was not allowed to switch rooms. I worked most evenings and it was very loud on the main floor, so I ended up sitting at a table in the basement, incidentally the place with the best wifi. I mentioned the problem to the reception, who said they would call tech support. They of course did nothing. I spoke to another guest who said he had problems with signal strength in his room. I'm not sure why they don't just shift around the access points. PROS large rooms, scenic location CONS wifi, helps to have a car if you need to get groceries, etc
