JVW has a private, party room that can seat up to ~70 people which was a big plus. The food was very good. We had a fixed menu where guests could choose from schnitzel, pork knuckle, salad with prawns, or potato pancakes. Prior to selecting JVW, we came to the restaurant to try each item and were pleased the quality during the rehearsal dinner was the same. In addition, JVW was kind enough to print out menus in English and German for this special occasion. The owner/manager (Max) was very friendly and responsive via phone or email. Every time we stop by (both before and after the rehearsal dinner), he spends some time with us and chats. I look forward to more visits at JVW! FYI - The only downside to our event was I wish they had more staff. For a party of 45-50 people, we only had 2 waitresses so food and drinks were a bit slow. In addition, JVW prefers communicating in German.

Being from the U.S. and making our first trip to Germany, the staff made it easy getting to the apartment with a taxi and a representative met us there to do all the paperwork and recommended restaurants in the area. A few days got pretty warm and air conditioning would have been nice but outside a couple months in the summer A/C isn't necessary there. The location was very safe and I would recommend it to anyone considering visiting.

His daughter spoke great English and explained the menu to us and made wonderful recommendations on food to eat. She also explained some of the rules of a Brauhaus regarding the nonverbal signals for additional beers and when you are done. A drink coaster on top of your beer glass meant you were done. We had the schnitzel and a generous portion of pork steak. The dinner came with a nice salad and potatoes. The service was prompt and friendly. This is one of the better German restaurants I've eaten in. Great atmosphere and good people.
