Via phone the contact was very difficult - they had to start the computer first as they told us and then they did not find the reservation apparently via the booking.com reservation number. Via booking.com message the contact worked finally with 12 hours delay an a lot of troubles A cancelation finally was not possible even for the such a case. I am asking myself what reason this hotels needs, if not for an obviously unexpected and unplannable death in closest family.

Also, reception says no status upgrades for HHonors members - as they are Hampton Inn, part of the Hilton group but with no obligation to honor the status. Fair enough. We canceled all further stays at the Hampton Inn on this tour. The hotel is OK, very clean, with great beds, and mediocre breakfast - basically what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. So if you are looking for a budget stay in the area, it's an OK place to stay, hence the 3 stars.

The hosts are a wonderful family that own the farm, vineyards, the guest house, the country store and the cafe that goes along with them. The houses are much better maintained then I was seeing here in the States and clean like one wouldn't believe. We needed a crib for our 10 months old daughter and even though it's a bit unusual request Frau Martina and her husband have accommodated this request. Overall I can't say any more praises to the place though some of the requirements are a bit more unusual for those coming from the States.

Upon checking in we had a strange experience. No one was at the front and then a girl who seemed confused gave us the keys and said nothing else, no WiFi, no breakfast or dinner info which led to us being too early for dinner and too late for breakfast. Dinner starts at 1800 and breakfast is from 0730-0930. As for the room, we were in the 3rd floor. There is no elevator, so if you have problems with stairs let them know at the time of reservation. Our bathroom had a neat sun roof but no shower... just a bathtub. Very odd. Out windows only had 1 window with a sunshade, the other did not. They left mills chocolate on the bed the first day, but not after that. Parking seems limited. I would say approximately 10-12 spots total.
