Disappointed with the Kyriad in Loon Plage , used to be ideal for a stop over , we even stayed a week a few years back , and it was fine for a place to put your head at the end of a day. But it has really went downhill the last few years , and it is starting to show now. The hotel used to be the better quality range of the group , premier classe, campanile and kyriad , all part of the Louvre hotels group , and we have been through them all in our time (range , not every hotel ) . It has a small bar , now with an added pool table , a decent sized breakfast area , and the parking is locked at night . This ends the good points ,now the bad , Long dark corridors on second floor , with touch pad , timer light switches , some of which are hard to make work , meaning you are often tempted to walk down the long dark corridor , and I do mean dark , Our granddaughter hated it . The carpets are a little bit on the grubby side , could do with a complete update. The corridor walls are in need of a decent clean up , or a new paint job. Some staining on the sheets a bit of a cringe moment , luckily we were going to a cottage so had brought our own. At breakfast we noticed some of the cuttlery and cups and plates were the cleanest they could be , but waded through to find enough to get by with. The bar was a little limited , and just seemed to want to encourage you to try elsewhere , like the sister hotel , campanile across the road , they looked like they were having a great time , but as we were only there for one night we decided to forego the drink. All in all , we will now switch back to the campanile range . read more
