The people working there were friendly and very helpful. Also, their prices were as good as, or better than Lowes, their main competitor in town. I like Lowes, it's kind of like a big you store for men; but, given the choice between the two I'd go to HH hardware first. They're selection is not as big as Lowes; but overall they are more helpful and deserving of my business.

They sharpen all sorts of blades, be they knife, scissor, chain or lawn mower, and fix not only all the things that they sell but even most of the things that don't sell. I've been using Howe's, a family owned operation since they first opened decades ago, having them repair all sorts of things from generators to chainsaws for me, and I've always been more than pleased with their friendly family type of service plus the good information they have given me concerning anything or any hardware problem I might have. They have everything from bird feeders, to rodent traps and from nuts to bolts to barbecue sets; way too many to list. This is a hardware store for which the big box hardware, such as Lowe's, shouldn't present any competition threat since the big box places can't even come close to the services provided by Howe's. I'm rating them Five Stars because as far as hardware and go services go, Howe's really is WooHoo! As good as it gets.

They have basically everything from Swedish fish to club soda to bacon to those potato chips that you forgot you loved because you couldn't find them anymore !! I have even purchased bug candles and gloves since there is a nice hardware section in the store too. If you can't find what you are looking for - ASK they probably have it. Pick up a newspaper or magazine for the road or fill up your tank too while you are there. I love the ice cream and frozen pizza selection at the cashier. It's nice to know there is a store nearby if you forgot something. Parking is a breeze too in front or there is a little lot on the side where the gas pumps are. I love going and just walking around - pick up some beef jerky etc. I can't think of anything they "don't" have. The only downside is that they aren't open all the time or late even. I have driven there and they were closed in the past.. Cash is recommended since there is a $.50 swipe fee for credit card purchases. Flowers can be bought by the flat, separate, or in hanging basket variety. The selection varies depending upon what is in season. They also have an array of fruit trees for your picking...ah..ah..see what I did there? If you are looking to start a garden they have all you need here. Mostly in the plantable type. I don't recall seeing seeds, but they do have starter plants available. Mulch, top soil and everything else you will need is here as well. I beleive you can use a credit card here even though it is in the middle of nowhere. But it might just easier to bring cash with you.
