Here are some highlights of my experience: Eli is very knowledgable and is able to explain everything easily so that people like me who feel like taxes are a foreign language can understand. I came in assuming I was going to owe so much bc I had no idea what I was doing or how taxes even worked.. but Eli answered all of my questions with patience even though I know I was probably asking the same question over & over lol. Now for 2019 I will not be stressed! Eli also shed some light on things I had no idea about like how putting money in an IRA can really help to save on how much I owe in taxes, and how I need to go ahead & pay estimated taxes twice a year, and other business related matters that as business owner i needed to know & did NOT beforehand. Before your appointment they give you this great "tax planner".. it pretty much lists out everything that you can & should be writing off on your taxes & allows you to put in the totals. After waiting weeks for "Elizabeth" to get back to me after imputing my personal financial information, I was very disappointed and unimpressed. The plan involved a telephone call only, no written report (nor anything written), and I did not learn a thing. She did not inform me of NJ domestic partnerships or other tax-savings strategies for my future RMD's. I learned more from the WSJ. At the time, I asked what this firm charged for an uncomplicated tax return which for me involved cd bank interest and stock dividends, pension, social security, property taxes paid on my house. The charge quote then was $800 for a simple return. My CPA then and now charge less than half that amount. My boyfriend lived next door to this company. As we sold his home I can now be honest about my personal unimpressive experience.

Last year, the work was slow, taking about 2 months to complete my return, but the work seemed ok. I decided to try them again this year and could not be more disappointed. The assistant is helpful and responsive but that is the only positive. I had to call multiple times to follow up on my return which took over 2 months to complete and had many errors. I had no communication with the accountant who prepared my returns after submitting documents online. He asked me no questions. Mistakes ranged from getting my name wrong to filing the incorrect status to saying I owed an amount that was actually a refund. I was given an explanation that it is very busy. Yes, it is tax season. I would recommend not taking on more clients than you can effectively service. I will not be returning.
