Just updating this to make sure everyone knows what a crook Bilger is. Don't get your taxes done here. When a CPA makes a mistake they should take accountability, not tell you it's your problem and to just deal with it when they are the reason you end up owing the IRS. I used to think this was a great company, now I warn my clients and friends about them. I called in 2021 to ask them why my health insurance told me I didn't have to make my monthly payments and if I needed to do anything. I was told don't worry about it bc it was a credit everyone was getting. Big surprise when this year I owe the IRS over $2,000 (more now bc of penalties since I don't have $2,000 in my back pocket) bc it was NOT a tax credit for everyone. The owner was standing there when I picked up my taxes and was questioning why I owed so much and all he told me was don't make a payment plan, just keep paying them bc it'll cost less in penalties. Really?! That's your advice?! When you're paying over $400 to have your taxes done, it would be nice to either get an apology for THEIR mess up or to have them try to make amends in some way. This would be entirely different if I had NOT called the year prior to question it! Be very careful and triple check everything from Bilger CPA's so you don't get screwed too.
