Our claim estimate was very poorly done by the insurance company--many omissions and big mistakes on the budget to get our house restored. The insurance company and the independent adjuster (who really wasn't independent at all!) were really giving us the runaround, throwing up big roadblocks, treating us poorly, and we were stuck in the middle. Who needs that, especially when you pay top dollar for your insurance premiums? Work wasn't getting done, we didn't have the needed funding to fix our home in the Portland area (out on an island), and the frustrations were mounting. I was getting so angry that our dogs would hide outside every time I would pick up the phone and speak to a contractor or someone from the insurance company. I emailed John Bonfiglioli at AMPA and he actually called me right back! Right off the bat I could tell this man knew what he was doing and he zeroed right in on the problems. He volunteered a bit of his time (who does that these days?) just to help me understand the dynamics of how individuals and professional business owners get taken advantage of by their insurance companies. His advice was simply excellent. He outlined a plan to help me get things on track and I felt so much better. It was certainly clear to me that if an individual or professional business has a problem with a claim, especially because the estimate produced by the insurance company is not accurate, John can step in and really do the work you might need so that the insurance company will step up to the plate and make your claim right. I was never actually aware of what personal adjusters do and now I know how valuable they can be. My experience with this company so far is that they are dedicated to helping you turn over every stone that needs to be turned over to ensure that you are treated fairly and that your claim is payed out properly.
