This March, TurboTax estimated that I will owe $7,000 in taxes!!! I then went to Long Forms Short Forms desperate for tax help and Eric and Michelle were able to get me a return! Good news: They got me the highest refund compared to TurboTax, this explaining the 3 stars…read more Bad news: After filing my taxes, I received email and messages offering me a refund advance; I applied online for the advance and was "approved" for an advance- I was excited, all the things I could do for my family sooner than later; I "accepted" the advance and was then told I had to see the Jackson-Hewitt desk at the local Walmart Store. So I make an appointment in good faith. I do into the Dewitt Walmart and am directed to the Jackson Hewitt Desk next to the bathrooms / stockrooms. The tax preparer, who was polite, intelligent and a victim of his own companies mistakes, informs me (while over-hearing the dis-grunted employees and customers in and out of the bathroom) that there is a "disconnect" between Jackson Hewitt online tax filing and Jackson Hewitt direct filing. He says I have to pay hundreds of dollars to re-file my taxes then MAYBE I could get an advance on my refund. Their email / messages are misleading to the point of being fraudulent. They wasted my time and disrupted my work and upset me!!!!!. I am going to report them to the BBB.
