While they did give an estimate upfront, what my actual processing fee was exorbitant. They gave a new customer 50 percent discount which brought it down to a more reasonable but still high $218. I also felt as though I'm the one who had to think of additional deductions that could be made. I mean isn't that why I'm consulting a tax professional? Aren't you supposed to know the max that can be taken without flagging an audit. I woke up in a bad mood thinking that I got gamed by this tax office. Overall, I would NOT recommend.

Because the date was close to the tax deadline, they said they were very busy and would need to file an extension for us before even being able to give us a quote for the cost of the tax preparation. We were in no rush, so we said that was fine and that we weren't worried about the cost. we were asked to drop off our 2021 taxes so they could use the information it contained to file the extension after which they would use it to provide us with a quote. I physically brought our 2021 taxes to their office on April 13 as they said the original was preferred over a scanned copy. I asked if they needed me to sign anything for the extension paperwork and they said no. Fast forward to today April 20 when they called to give us the price of doing our taxes and to see if WE had filed an extension! There was no apology for dropping the bal. Instead, they lied and said they never told us they would file an extension for us. What??!?? Why in the world would we have had that conversation or dropped off our taxes if not to have them help us with the extension and the 2022 filings?! When our extreme displeasure was shared with the accountant and asked what could be done to rectify the situation, we were told we would get a call back from the owner. He did call us back but only to say that he would put our 2021 taxes outside because they didn't want to do business with us anymore. Talk about bad customer service, bad business practices, and a lack of ethics! They should be ashamed of themselves!
