The staff here always seem clueless. They wander in front of customers in aisles and are oblivious to the fact that they're blocking people. The ones getting groceries for pickup orders are constantly in the way and the reason the store is so packed, no one can get anything. And when getting curbside, it feels like they never bag anything. I still need to carry these items into my home. Why do they avoid using bags? Half of my order wasn't bagged once. Heb despite there is no delivery problem, continues to raise and manipulate their prices. Lobster tails, remove from the floor and placed in the market at higher price. The Jeri oyster now in a 1" container at most the same price as a quart. Heb is price gouging heavily. Find a better cheaper store. Of course the county comptroller wont allow cheaper stores in the area. Wondering is paid off. HEB is not your family friendly grocery store. They are an aggressive take over the market charge high price corporate business. read more

I live in Houston. I'm shocked that this big store doesn't sell fresh Gulf shrimp. The thawed shrimp was all from Ecuador or Indonesia & some was farm-raised which is horrible for the environment. HEB should support local. Jay was working the fish department & he was awesome! The frozen Gulf shrimp was in 2 different places. He came from behind the counter to assist me. Now that's the HEB customer service that I love. Thanks Jay for improving a disappointing experience. We only bought a few items. There was no HEB chocolate syrup & the hamburger buns were almost out. Big city HEBs don't do this. My store is Buffalo Heights. I'm spoiled. read more

They have great items to buy I love HEB because they have most ethnic foods I use but the curbside is terrible. I only have one complaint, why are choosing slots if once we get there, there's no available slots to wait for your order! I just spoke with the manager of curbside only for her to tell me people are choosing 7 am slots and not showing up until 7 pm so I'm here now chose an 8:30 pm slot and it took 30 minutes to get parking! This doesn't make any sense and I have a job to get to as well, will someone please fix this! read more

There was a crowd at a grocery store yesterday. That grocery store was as crowded as a holidays or like everything was on sell like Black Friday. That has really got to me. Not to mention that I was tired & cranky. I wonder if that store was always that crowded? It wasn't even popular! I even got pulled away from the other person whom I was going shopping with because of the crowd. The crowd was so bad that I blacked out! read more

They are always re-arranging the store. And I ask "why" you finally learn where everything is. And then they change it. Do not ever order H‑E‑B delivery on meat. They will sell you the most expired and disgusting meat in the world. And when you get to your beach house or your destination you have rotting garbage meat to eat. They are pitiful and ruin everything. I will never use them again and will tell all of my colleagues about their disgusting rotting practices. They are scum!!!!!! read more

H-E-B - Grabbing groceries - Department Stores Near Me - Port Arthur, Texas

This is the one place that I can say reminds me and is close to Houston standards. Am I a big city snob? Maybe, or maybe I am spoiled by good customer service, people that seem somewhat happy with their jobs while not having to shop in a dilapidated shopping strips that reminds me that I might be staying/working in a depressed city. Meet my new friend Mr. H.E.B. Besides the one in/near Nederland/Twin City, this particular store has it all. In fact, and then some. I have never seen an H.E.B in Houston that also sells electronics i.e. televisions and such. Maybe I havn't been to one yet but this is my escape when i want to spend a few hours to remember where I'm from. Honey with the actual honey comb inside? Got it, 60" tv for $500? it's here, spacious rows of organic foods, adulterated and generic as well? You will find it here, along with almost anything you can think of without having to visit 3 other stores to find what you seek. Parking is very ample, the neighborhood seems safe and that security guard needs to stop following me around the store just because I just got out of work, have large pockets in my nomex and look like I went baja'ing before I stepped in. Trust me, I think you need to be a little more inconspicuous, go away little lady, your bothering me. You will find this store on Dowling where most of the restaurants, stores and Park Dale Mall sets. read more

This place is huge but always packed, clearly a local favorite. It could be a number if reasons why people perferr this store to its many competitors. Fresh and rotated fruits and vegetables. Specialty items unique to thier brand prepackaged for convenience. Huge seafood counter with prepackaged sushi if you dare. Ready to cook meals already prepped. Full cheese, sliced meat and steam table deli. Quaint dining area. Selection of single bottled beer. Olive bar!!! Love that! Fresh baked breads of wide variety Fresh made in store tortillas Awesome bakery with moist and delicious cakes sold by the sheet and by the slice. Packaged cookies, cakes, pies and donuts. Donut cabinet to mix and match by the box or single purchase. Patio items and plants in the front of the store. Florist has lovely arrangements and seasonal gifts. Too much to list. read more

I like this store service is great ,staff is great, product is great. But, I was very disappointed by all the customers allowed to not wear masks. i work with the public and understand how hard it is to in force,but it is possible. More effort would be appreciate. read more

The store is great, clean organized and has everything i need. The staff here is very helpful and there is one member that stood out. James, not only was he very helpful and patient with me, he is easily and definitely the cutest employee they have working there for sure. I moved to Nederland in February & have been so disappointed with the local grocery stores. I HATE shopping at Wal-Mart so had resorted to Market Basket, which was frequently disappointing. I finally found the HEB & just spent 2 hours there stocking up for my bulk cooking day. LOVE this store! So many selections & varieties of products, even on rarer items (10 different kinds of cous-cous!) They had a great organic selection as well (produce & otherwise)! I was also pleased that there were several open registers so I did not have to wait to check out. My only complaint is that I was not once asked if I needed help finding anything while I was shopping, but there were plenty of personnel on the floor that I could have approached had I needed assistance. This is my new grocery store. :) read more

Love HEB. Glad we finally got a supersized one Mid County area. It's not quite as big as the one in Beaumont on Dowlen Road but still better than the profundity sized ones. Only go to walmart to get different selections of certain things since they carry different varieties of the same brand like baby food for example. But hardly ever go to Walmart anymore and that's a true blessing in itself even if I spend more money. HEB tends to sell healthier food also. read more

Do not like their oven ready deli pizza. Too much Parmesan for me. I doesn't taste like they put any mozzarella. And the sauce is awful. Go to frozen food isle and get one there better. read more
