We…read morechose B&L because not only was their quote very reasonable for the scope of work to be done (a complete kitchen remodel and electrical service upgrade, but more importantly, they stand behind their work. From start to finish, Brian and Justin not only met our expectations, but far exceeded them on all counts. Their quality of workmanship, selection of high-grade materials, and attention to every detail far exceeded our expectations. Justin, who is also a highly skilled electrician himself, is a true craftsman with a focus on fine details (many of which that would not be visible) when installing our new cabinets, lighting, appliances, etc. He took the time to ensure that every thing was to our satisfaction every day and exceeded it....every day . Brian is a skilled Project manager, Master Electrician, and himself very detail oriented. In addition to providing all the new electrical service to our home, He took care of all the details involving the scheduling the Plumbing, Drywall, for this extensive remodel. Communication was outstanding during this project. He also went above and beyond on many things that were not specified in the quote that he didn't have to do, but did so to ensure everything was done right and to our satisfaction. After 3 attempts, it finally worked. I called B & L to diagnose why my electric bills were so high (unrelated to the hot water heater). Brian not only diagnosed the problem (a setting on my whole house generator), he also discovered the other company's "fix" was to disconnect my fire alarm and use that line for my hot water heater! Brian fixed that quickly, and my home was again safe. They are my "go-to" company for anything electrical.

We hired VanderHyde to put in a 30 amp 120v service to hook up the camper we live in. They came and…read moredid the install, but put in a 240v instead of the 120v. This mistake costed me over $1000 to fix. I was reimbursed the initial payment of the installation, but not the two converters and the repair man that I had to have fix it. They took over 5 days to get the electric hooked up right. We have been without the camper heater since the first install. They refuse to reimburse any further. I would never hire them again. The company's morals are not for me.

When we called, we were told they didn't come because it was too hot to go in the attic (at 8 AM), and they were coming the following day, which they never cleared with us. He plan was to run two lines, however, he found the issue with the original electrical line, and only had to run the updated line for the GFCI. He put all of the outlets back in the wall that I had exposed to get him the overview of the job. He completed the work of troubleshooting the electrical issue and ran a new line up through a crawl space in three hours.
