I enjoyed it for a day trip to the mountains. It was cold, my jacket was good - my purple thick ski jacket. My gloves were not, I forgot my ski gloves and only had knit gloves which didn't cut it for the close to zero degree F Temps. Next time will prepare better and or the tour trip could give more instructions in the description to do so. Also bathrooms are free when you get there but the interim stop in interleuken needed 1 swiss franc to use the bathrooms and it didn't look super clean. Plus I had not converted any $ to francs yet. Recommendation to just wait till you get there. The bathrooms were clean there. The other cool thing at Interleuken was the paragliding. They were landing in the big open grassy knoll there. Next time when I have more time, I will sign up for that.

You will find the Sihlquai Coach Parking across from Starbucks. I did the 2 hour "Zurich- site seeing tour" on the bus. About 1.5 hours was on the bus taking you around town (we stopped a total of 3 times on the tour to take photos). The third stop, we got off the bus and walked around the Old Town of Zürich. Many people did not enjoy the third part of the tour which involved walking around (minimal walking because the tour guide is mostly giving the historical background) due to the rainy cold day! They sat in the bus instead. The tour guide, Perilla (?), was fantastic! She did the tour in German and English! The driver, Francesco, was also great! He navigated the right Zürich roads driving a huge bus like a professional! For $34 CHF, it was a good tour!

If it is an international train, like a TGV to Paris even though we bought the tickets online we still need to pick up international tickets at a SNCF boutique or SBB shop since they do not accept self printed tickets. The price of TGV tickets is the same weather bought on the SNCF or SBB site and depends on how far in advance you purchase these tickets. Reserve 91 days in advance for the best price. Never have waited more than five minutes and the associates are always knowledgeable and helpful. The location on the floor above the tracks is perfect and the ATM is right outside too. They will help with confirming phone calls to hotels and help organizing confirmations if ti's not too busy. Great introduction to the SBB system and a positive way to start at trip. It's best to do your research in advance so you have a good idea of what you want. Look for the office off to the right and next door to the ticket windows.

It gives you unlimited rides on trains, trams, buses and boats all over Switzerland. It's not time/ date-specific so you won't have to worry about out missing your train and have to get another ticket. It won't matter, you just take the next one. There are 2 classes: 1st class for $820 for 15 days vs 2nd class for $520 for 15 days; 1st class for $460 for 3 days vs 2nd class for $290. They also have passes available for 4, 6 and 8 days. You must buy directly from their website. If you see anything being sold anywhere else, it's probably a scam or a pain in the you know what should you need to change something with your booking and getting your pass. Now, it's not for everyone. If you're planning to stay in just 1 or 2 cantons/ cities in Switzerland, it's not worth it. If you're planning to like Uber, it's also not worth getting a Swiss Travel Pass. Swiss public transportation is very efficient. They're always early or on time. I've only seen one train arrive late. Buses are hit and miss and it's usually caused by passengers taking forever to get on/ off the bus - I've seen it with my own eyes. And there's also traffic. Bernina Express and Glacier Express are also included in the Swiss Travel Pass. All you have to pay for is the seat reservation. Another benefit of getting the Swiss Travel Pass is you get free access (Finance Museum, St. Gallen Library, Red Cross Museum, etc.) to or discounts to some museums and attractions. Their website lists museums and attractions per city. Should you get 1st class or 2nd class? I enjoyed 1st class because it's less crowded and much quieter than 2nd class. The seat configuration is 1-2, 1-1, 2-2 in 1st class vs 2-2 and 4-4 in 2nd class. The seats are wider and you get more legroom in 1st class. There are power outlets, coat hangers, and more luggage space in 1st class. I got a lot of free stuff on the Bernina Express in 1st class and bigger panoramic windows too. So, it's really up to you.

Hugo our driver was WOW on those tight corners!! The best!!! In Luzern we did trip to Grindelwald, Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen and Michelle and Isabel were fabulous!! Joseph our driver also amazing !! These tour guide are so knowledgeable and passionate!! Money well spent!!!

There was also one gentleman, who was the only person to sign up for Mt. Rigi Tour. Instead of cancelling that tour (since there was only one person), Best of Switzerland lumped in hom with ours and we had to do a special drop off and pick up for him. I do not blame him, the tour should have been cancelled. We ended up with a random free hour in Lucerne while we were waiting for him, instead of directly heading back to Zurich.

Now you're talking…read more Met at 11am on a Monday when all the museums were closed, at the Credit Suisse in the Paradeplatz, one of the world's most expensive and exclusive shopping areas. Must have been at least 100 people there. Fortunately about 20 peeled off for the Spanish speaking tour. Julian was our guide, a great story teller with an abundance of jokes. At the Fraumünster church, we discovered tiny hieroglyphics carved into the stones. This was to keep track of which artisan packed which stones into the structure, for pay purposes. We stop by a statue of a burgermeister, condemned to death not for killing dogs, but for raising taxes! We wander through St Peter Church - one of the four main churches in Zurich whose clock face is the largest in all of Europe; We check out the restaurant where famous painters as Picasso, Chagall, Giacometti paid for their food with their own paintings. The restaurant owners sold the paintings right away, instead of keeping them until they appreciated in value. Next, we check out the house where Lenin was living before returning to Russia, leading the 1917 revolution. We go along the Limmatquai with many buildings dating from the days of the rich Guilds that governed Zurich. We wander through the Lindenhof and Roman Baths - the historical site of a Roman castle situated on a hillside, with great views of Old Town. Did you know that Albert Einstein and 20 Nobel Prize winners were students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology? At the end of the 2 hour free tour Julian poses with a group for Facebook picture under "Free walk Zurich", passes out postcards with the logo, and collects tips, once again at the Paradeplatz. With 100 people, and an average of CHF3 per tip per person, Julian is a walking piggy bank, and takes no chances with his travel bag, now heavy with CHF bills. He walks only a few steps to make an in person deposit at the nearest bank! Or does he keep part of the stash hidden from the authorities?

We only had 1 full day in Zurich so we wanted to get the most out of it. We actually ended up doing 2 Free Walking Tours Zurich. The old Zurich tour and the Zurich West tour. We had such a blast getting to know more about such a beautiful city. The Old Zurich tour was much more crowded. Our guide was amazing. Explained a lot and told us great stories about the city. She even recommended a place for lunch which was delicious. The Zurich West tour was good, but not as great as the morning tour. Our guide was knowledgeable but we didn't feel like we learned as much. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Zurich

Fare is reasonable for a fun little experience --- CHF 2 / 1.5 € for an adult, half that for a bicycle, kids free with a parent. Trip is perhaps 2 minutes across the Rhein, and leaves on demand --- after running me across, they did several more trips in the time it took to eat a Döner Kebab. Definitely more style than the auto bridges in the area!

Service here..... -10/10. Had this booked months ago. Finally got to Zürich, beautiful place by the…read moreway, and was pretty excited to go. Family and I walked there and nothing. No one who worked there or drove there knew what was going on. Got there 45 minutes early. Asked "front desk" and she had no idea what was going on, that we'd have to ask the drivers, or the right direction to point us, and the drivers had no idea which people they were taking. Unorganized, untimely, disappointing, and unprofessional. We are rescheduling for next Monday so I hope that will go better. NOT saying bad experience or anything, but the SERVICE was awful.
