They do stock a good range of magazines and newspapers, on the other hand, spanning most interests - certainly rivalling any of the other city centre newsagents around. Whenever I'm in need of heading to the post office to mail something off, I always end up wandering around this massive store just for a bit of a browse. And there's plenty to browse from whether you're into books, board games, or even stationary. When it comes to books specifically, there is definitely a lot here. I've bought more than my share of Christmas presents from here before for the kids and adults; a beginner's guide to Minecraft, a Pokemon stickerbook, and a few cookbooks as well. It's probably cheating, but WHSmith makes Christmas shopping a breeze because I often come through for some inspiration on what to purchase as gifts with how much they have on offer. --- I do like WHSmith, but this WHSmith in particular is just plain awesome. It is always clean instead and you can find items very easily so it is well layed out. This WHSmith, like a few in the south Wales very now have a post office included, which is handy. Lovely store.

There is quite a large book section with a wide range of types of books. I was taken by complete surprise when I went upstairs to buy a dictionary to find the Post Office taking over about half the floor space! As this is a main branch it offers a passport checking service and in case you haven't got your photo just right there is a very handy instant photo booth available. There is also a Travel Services office providing whatever currency you may need as well as a post box. I noticed that there is a lift to the first floor so no problems if you have mobility problems or a pushchair in tow. When I was there the post office was not too busy but I would imagine it could get pretty chaotic at Christmas time when you have shop and post office customers all jostiling for space.

They were very helpful and I managed to get everything I needed despite feeling like I had to walk around all of 2 floors to do it :-) It was a pretty much standard Huse of Fraser though and really they don't vary too much from city to city unlike Debenhams where I found laver bread, a Welsh specialty and other Welsh foods on sale (which would not happen in Oxford or London!).

Magazines for women, men and children and also provide the TV guide. They also sell many crisps and sweets and you can find all these at very resonable prices. This is one of the very few shops that you can also buy cigarettes from, and because of this it is alwayd full, but the staff always deal with the queues well, they also do the lottery here.

No longer would we go to the store to pick up a lightsaber and pretend to be in Star Wars and no longer would we experience the joy and happiness that filled our hearts.... Until now! Toys R Us is back and better in a new location down Cardiff Bay I must admit that I was never a big fan of the other Toy's R Us because it seemed dark and unfriendly. But now there have been some big changes to the current store filled with the brightest lights and the bubbliest of people. This is a gigantic store that a child could get lost in for months. It has such a fantastic variety of toys and I can live my dream once again and pretend to have a lightsaber fight in order to defeat the dark side. The number of aisles are staggering but there is always an assistant prepared to help if you need some help about an item or just finding your way around the store. Toy's R Us has the renovation it needed. It is now a happy and bright place that is filled with all the toys in the world along with excellent service. What more could you need from your favourite toy store?
