It pains me to say it but tonight's experience was somewhat disappointing. For a busy Friday night, we were seated quickly and were able to place our order for chicken wings and southwest egg rolls which were good as usual but that's where the good times ended. Ordered oysters but there were shells in one of the oysters which was unpleasant. We didn't get the right setup for the oysters either but that was corrected. Ordered the ribeye and coconut cod. My hubby said the ribeye was delicious albeit a super extra fatty. I questioned the meat to fat ratio considering the ribeyes we have had in the past. This one was thin with three small medallions of meat. About half gristle. Not a great piece of meat considering our past experience. The other issue was with the cod. This is my absolute favorite. When done right it's just out of this world...Fresh, crispy, tender and flaky. I ordered it with the orange marmalade which I stressed was a must have with the fish. I always get it and it's been in stock lately. My fish was brought out without the marmalade and in itty bitty crumbles. I have ordered this usually amazing dish at least 20 times if not more. This is the first time the three fish filets were brought out as fish bites. I sent the fish back, which I hate to do, and it was replaced with 3 whole filets that were cooked perfectly. But I was told there was no orange marmalade. What a huge disappointment. It really changed the course of my evening as that was the reason I dined here tonight. The orange marmalade makes the dish. I would've appreciated the server notifying me prior to finalizing my order that they did not have orange marmalade. Wish my cod experience was better tonight. Get some marmalade in stock ASAP please. Cannot eat here without it and that would be a travesty! read more

Raising the rating on H2O. Have been a few times now and really like it. It's got a nice atmosphere, albeit it is a bit loud which obviously isn't something the restaurant can help. It's just the atmosphere of the place. Staff is nice. Food is really good. Loved the lobster cake and eggs Benedict. Hot honey flatbread was really good too. Have tried the elephant ears a couple times and they were good but a little inconsistent. All in all I love H2O and totally recommend it. read more

I went here during 4th of July and two kids made me pay 20 dollars to park and said I would get it back at the end. My drinks were watered down with no flavor. The food was greasy and not in a good way and the jalapeños were not cored. Really cute spot on the water with tasty food and great service. We sat inside because it was a little too warm outside, but they also have tables outside overlooking the water that looked delightful. Our party went heavy on the dairy this time, and the garlic cheese bread, cheese curds, and BBQ nachos did not disappoint. My daughter said the bread was "like an elevated Papa John's cheesy bread." (I thought it was a lot better than Papa John's.) My son declared the nachos "Pretty good." We also tried the lobster rolls and the steamed shrimp. Both the shrimp and the lobster salad were nicely seasoned, and the portion sizes were ginormous. I'm not sure what kind of bread the lobster was served on. This was a good dinner spot with tons of things to choose from on the menu. We sat at a high table in the back and it was loud! Lots of large tables celebrating birthdays. It nice to see it's a special occasion, family oriented spot. I wish we would have sat outside and enjoyed the views of the water, even though it was a bit chilly. It was much quieter out there. I ended up choosing the burger with fried onions extra. It was delicious and huge. I paid the up-charge to have the broccoli instead of fries and it was ok. Husband had the fries and they were kind of funky. Odd shaped and not all crispy. Was glad about my broccoli choice. Husband had the tacos for his entree. They brought fries instead of the chips and salsa he ordered so they also brought out some chips and salsa. Those were good and salsa was home made. Our server was so good. We had a group of four that was spending the night and traveling through to Mackinac Island. We all had different meals but I had the fish and chips but substituted the chips for a baked potato. I was very impressed with the amount of food on my plate plus the waitress was very friendly and knew to keep the cold beer coming. I've only been here one other time but this time for sure tops my previous experience. Me and my friends were seated right away and got our drinks what felt like seconds after ordering them. Our server Ariel went above and beyond even when my order was messed up by accident I was immediately notified and made aware of the fact my food would be at my table later then my friends and it didn't feel like that long after. I ordered the lObster bisque. It was fairly creamy, but nothing to write home about. I alsO Ordered the fish sandwich with cOd. A bit pricey for two pieces of fried cod on a bun but I was glad it was flash-fried, meaning there was just enough fry to give it texture and crunch without pulling from the texture of the fish. Unfortunately, service was fairly slow likely due to the lunch rush. It took a while for the servers to take our orders or bring drinks/refills. We had a server in training during the rush, so that may have explained why it took extra time for the trainee and trainer to return to our table. Overall, big improvement from a Hooter's but nothing memorable. read more

Finally had the chance to come and check this place out! My wife and I came here for a date on Thursday evening. It was a beautiful night, we sat on the deck and had amazing food. We started with the corn dip. I got the chicken sandwich and my wife got the scallops. the servers were awesome. I typically ask the servers "what is the best thing to eat here?" They have a huge menu so it was hard to decide what to eat. Shout out to the servers for helping point me in the right direction. Of course, I'm sure everything there is fantastic. I will start with the atmosphere, located on the riverfront in Bay City with a great view from inside and a beautiful view from the deck. The menu is good with excellent choices in food and drink. The food is well prepared and is excellent in taste and quality. Serving sizes are ++. The drinks are well made and not too strong that the taste is overwhelmed.
