I visited this location on Saturday, November 15 before 5:30 PM to redeem my free birthday burger. I downloaded the app, signed up, and received my free offers and specials with no issues. The location is conveniently situated in Avondale, in a plaza with lots of other shops and restaurants. When you walk in, you can tell it's a newer location -- bright, clean, and very welcoming. The staff was nice, and I was able to place my order quickly and pull up my QR code for my free offer. I decided to dine in so I could enjoy my burger while it was hot. My only concern was that even though I requested my burger to be well done, certain parts of it were not cooked to that level. read more

I came through the drive thru at around 8:30 PM on a Tuesday night. I ordered a char burger with bacon and 10 chicken pieces. I don't know what the girl at the window was thinking but she somehow swapped my burger for an order of fries. I know for a fact that they charged me for the burger because I saw it on the screen, which means right now my burger is just sitting there... I tried this place for the first time today and I liked it more than I thought I would! I got the crispy chicken sandwich (no coleslaw) with the spicy red pepper sauce on the side. It had been a while since I had been to habit, so in a sea of burger joints, I wanted to be reminded of how they compared. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. I found the restaurant to be spacious and clean with plenty of windows to brighten up the place. My wife and I ordered a couple of charburgers. I had the mixed fired & onion rings and my wife had her favorite, Tempura green beans. And then we waited and waited and waited some more. While they do say quality takes longer, it took longer to get our burger than most sit down restaurants. I do want to add that everyone was busy and engaged in their jobs. Maybe this is normal the The Habit. It did however take about 20 minutes to get our food. The burgers were nicely wrapped and well loaded with lettuce, tomato meat and cheese. I thought the patty's were hearty and the grilled buns were a nice touch. I did really like the mixture of fries and onion rings and of course, my wife loved the green beans. Again, there are a sea of burger places out there. The fast food chains are all about three stars to me. The Habit is certainly better than those and compare well with others in their category. It really just feels off every time I visit this location. Like the staff are annoyed and inconvenienced by anyone walking in the door. Order came out quick like it does which is nice. The food was fine and so was the milkshake until I almost swallowed what I thought was a fingernail. I was about to be a lot more upset but this is still confusing, a piece of blue plastic debris? I'm not sure what it could've came from or if it was a deliberate attempt to ruin my lunch. Either way very disturbing. I can't imagine if my daughter was taking a sip and choked on it. I had their charburger and I thought that it tasted fine. It didn't taste like anything particularly special. Besides that, I thought that the charburger was a bit too grill flavored for me. I don't particularly like grill or smoke flavor. The burger was presented neatly and was wrapped, unlike other burger places. Sometimes the burger is messy, but I am more often about flavor than looks though they say that eating is about looks. Having the char burger wrapped was good. It lets me hold onto it and get my hands less messy. Also, usually like the wrapper to prevent dripping from the hamburger. I didn't see any pepperocinnis. I have always thought that pepperocinnis taste a bit like pickles. I like pepperoccini. I think they taste best cooked. The service was friendly and pretty fast. my tolerance for eating out don't be too high because i don't like the processed foods, I like international eats and home cooked restaurants because it's made on the spot but this fast food spot was koo for late dinner when not too many places are still open. this Caesar salad is actually amazing, I squeezed a few pepercinis on the salad to give it a lil kick but it gave it a lot of kick, though I'm not complaining because I love spicy. Grilled chicken is amazing, especially with Santa Barbara Cobb salad. I find the burgers can get soggy so I usually get ciabatta and that helps. I don't know why but every time I ask for ranch I'm given a hard time. It's really good ranch! I ask for ranch at the order station and then have to remind them at the window.
