I'm a fan of Habit Burger. Was very pleased to find one fairly close to our house when we moved here. So far I've just done mobile orders and either ran inside or did the curbside pickup. No issues and the staff seemed friendly. Execution is as expected. There were a couple times that I felt they could have done better. Primarily packaging and adding napkins. Fries all over the bag is okay, but better if they placed it in there right side up. Food has been solid. I have a few go-tos. Default of course is their double-char. I also like their teriyaki char. Haven't really ventured outside of those 2 since I like them so much. I always seem to get their onion rings as well. Really crispy. Habit Burger has been here for several years, but we just tried it a few times recently. They make a pretty good burger, pretty good fries and pretty good shakes. But......I tried the Sirloin Steak sandwich and it was a huge disappointment. The meat tasted vaguely like beef, but didn't have the hit of steak and almost zero char taste. My wife tried the Baja Crispy Fish sandwich and was equally disappointed. The quality of the fish was okay but small and not remotely worth the price. So....if you want a pretty good burger, pretty good fries and pretty good shakes, we recommend it. But the other things are not worth it. FIVE STARS! New ownership perhaps? After several lackluster experiences and a commitment to never return we decided to give this place one more chance and we are happy we did. We both had the basic hamburger meal. The burgers were cooked to perfection and were more than enough size wise. No longer the overloaded sloppy messes as before. Just right! Juicy and delicious. But.. the star of the show were the FRIES! We are not French fly lovers and usual just nibble on a few but NOT THESE! They served a fresh hot basket of in my wife's words the BEST we have ever eaten! While I don't eat fast food too often, I'm declaring Habit Burger as one of my new top picks for a burger and fries. We walked in at noon for takeout on a weekday and the staff appeared to have an efficient system going as they consistently called out orders. If I didn't know this location opened back in 2018, I would have thought it was brand new... that's how well kept it looked! The menu is pretty diverse with a few versions of their signature Charburger, an assortment of other sandwiches and salads. Surprisingly, they even offer an Ahi Tuna sandwich - interesting! The three of us kept things simple, each ordering a classic Charburger and sides of fries, onion rings and tempura green beans. I also couldn't resist a mocha shake. Contrary to most burger shops, theirs do not include cheese and it's considered an add-on for $0.75. I personally like my burgers without cheese, but those who see it as a necessity will incur a slightly extra cost. Our order was ready after 10 minutes, which was reasonable considering it was peak lunch time. We took our food to a nearby park and appreciated how everything was packed so neatly. The burgers were even wrapped twice; it's amazing how much difference this made in keeping them intact. Why don't all fast food places do this? The Charburger ($4.35) was a great size for me and I loved how it came topped with caramelized grilled onions. Fresh tomato, crisp lettuce and a light drizzle of mayo were also layered on top. It typically comes with pickles too, but I requested mine without. I have heard that some Habit Burger locations heavily char their patties, but I didn't notice that here. The meat was grilled perfectly, but just could have used some additional seasoning. Now for the sides! The fries were sturdy and a perfect golden color. Our onion rings were also crispy and paired well with the Thousand Island dressing which they packed in a little cup. The tempura green beans (served with ranch dip) were tasty, but many were coated with an overwhelming amount of salt. On a sweet note, I thoroughly enjoyed the mocha shake! It was creamy, perfectly sweet and had a good balance of both coffee and chocolate flavors. There's no doubt I'll be back again for another delicious burger. Just like any Habit, it's a good burger joint. Menu - no deviation, standard! It was a very busy place. A lot of customers were there, especially groups of teens waiting for their order and food. That doesn't stop them from taking my order quickly. Couple of teens were at the counter, they were friendly and keen on assisting with the order. Surprise! The food was out in may be 10 minutes. First time at this restaurant! Heard from a friend the burgers are pretty tasty, so I wanted to try them myself. This is the closest burger place to my home, located in the Issaquah highlands. The restaurant itself is very open and nicely decorated. Lots of light too. The restaurant appeared to be very clean and maintained well. The workers are cordial and friendly too. I ordered their char burgers with American cheese. It came with grilled onions, sweet pickles, Mayo and ketchup. Although it wasn't the best burger I've eaten, it was Quite tasty! Workers wear masks and gloves, and the restaurant observes proper Covid-19 protocol with social distancing and providing hand sanitizer for their patrons. A huge grilled chicken breast perfectly cooked & even more delicious when you add bacon! Their hamburgers are awesome as well- always perfectly cooked & they do offer tasty wheat buns as an option. I love a place where it's clear what to do upon entering. OH! First- it smelled delicious outside- There's that. About entering- am I the only person that gets excited/anxious upon entering a new restaurant? Well, I like waking in and not having confusion being my first feeling. I walked in, there was hand sanitizer, I could clearly see I could walk up and order. It had a classier feel than other walk-ups like Mod Pizza and for sure nicer than Five Guys. The menu is simple and easy to figure out. I had the Teriyaki burger. Couldn't resist, I'm so into the Bonsai Burger at Red Robin, I had to compare. Whelp, it was delicious! Not as messy as Red Robin, not as sweet. The wrap around the burger kept my hands clean and it disappeared too fast- I wanted another. That American Cheese- Mmmm! So here's the thing- the tempura string beans weren't too greasy so I highly recommend. The French fries... skip then, no personality at all in flavor or in texture. I used to frequent the Habit in Tukwila. That one was good. My bf ordered me a veggie burger today through Door Dash. First of all it came with mayo. It said vegan burger..but come with mayo. It was raining heavily today and I chose Habit Burger Grill because it offers a "Drive Thru". I arrived to discover there is NO drive-through at all. So I ordered inside. The facility is modern and clean, impressive actually. I ordered take-out, two double cheeseburgers, onion rings, and their version of chicken nuggets or tenders. I opened the chicken tenders with honey-mustard dipping sauce, to eat on the way home while driving. The honey-mustard is called "Sweet Mustard" sauce on the receipt. It appeared to be a mixture of mustard, mayonnaise and sugar. It's edible but not honey mustard. The breaded chicken nuggets (white meat) were over cooked in deep fat fried oil... so much so that, not only was the breading dark brown and hard, but the chicken itself was dried out. I ate it but I didn't enjoy it. This could simply be a mistake by an employee, but it speaks to a lack of quality control. It was 3:30PM, there were only three customers. Getting it right should not have been a challenge. At home, the onion rings were acceptable, flavorful and not overcooked. The double cheese burgers were OK. They had the charcoal grilled flavor typical of Burger King, but not the pile-up of fresh garnish. There was no tomato on ours, but there was fresh cut onions and lettuce. The burgers were equal in size to the 'Double Whoppers with Cheese". All-in-all, this was another burger joint, not special, but not objectionable. The only negatives for me were the lack of quality control and the false advertising (no drive thru and no honey in the honey-mustard). I gave them 1 star because of the burger condition. The biggest turn off is a soggy and flat burger. It got this way from their choice of to-go packaging. They use McDonald's method but why can they deliver a burger in a pleasing manner. Don't get me wrong, Habit is a better burger from taste to quality. The meal experience begins with presentation followed by taste. Getting 2 of 2 completes the experience which translates to a repeat customer. They can only accomplish 1...taste. Its actually been 6 months from my last visit. Why...their inability to deliver a take out order that is both tasty and presentable. Million dollar question...will I go back? Since I don't live in West Seattle anymore, this location is the closest to me and we have come here quite often. Habit is a chain but it's consistent, it's good and prices are super fair. I wish our meal and experience was better, so I could leave an updated positive review. Unfortunately, that is not the case. We tried it again, after the manager reached out. The person taking my order had her mask below her nose. I asked 4 times before she moved it up. We ate in the parking lot - no travel time. The fries were cold. The burgers were cool, the melted cheese already congealed. The salad was asked for dressing on the side, which they provided. However the salad was also drenched with dressing. The burger lettuce wrap, a great idea, had such a large chunk of lettuce I couldn't figure how to eat it and had to unwrap and rewrap to manage. You can see from the picture the large chunk left when I was through. The shake was delicious, the only good part of the meal. I'm so sorry our second experience wasnt a good one either. read more

So glad The Habit Burger Grill is on the eastside! While in Issaquah I came here for lunch and the burger, just like I remembered it being from before, was delicious! The Habit Burger Grill was packed on a weekday for lunch. Located in the Issaquah Highlands, there's plenty of parking and crowds seem to be those living in the area. There was a line to order for lunch and it did take a bit to get my order. I ordered the Double Charburger Combination with cheese for less than 10 bucks. After you order, you get a buzzer for when your food is ready. When my buzzer went off, I went to get my meal. I told them I was dining in, as I told them when I first ordered, yet they gave me my meal in a to-go bag. When the employee handed me a tray for dining in, the tray was dirty, so I ended up just taking the bag. Whatever, not a big deal. But when I took out my food I saw that my order was wrong, as I was given a single charburger without cheese. So I went up to the counter to let them know about the wrong burger, and luckily, a double charburger with cheese was ready just in time, so we exchanged burgers. Now I was finally ready to dine! Burger was fantastic! I love charbroiled burgers, and the burgers here at The Habit are just that! I loved that smoky, grilled flavor from my burger with the melted American cheese. Plus, I also like that here at The Habit, they use a shredded romaine blend for the lettuce versus typical iceberg lettuce that you'd find at other casual burger joints. Fries were perfectly crispy, and can I just say, FRRRRYYY SAAAUCCCEEE?! Plus one star for the fry sauce that you can help yourself to here! I didn't notice anything wrong until my friends told me to look at the digital display sign, I went in shocked because I got the wrong burger this whole time. It wasn't bad enough to put me in a negative experience with this place, because I actually enjoyed the Santa Barbara Style Char very much. I brought up to the front to explain what went wrong with my order and the lady was very kind to offer me my actual order. I noticed the owners were there for the grand opening day to observe the overall service and operations. He offered me a free Char Burger ticket because of what happened, which was really nice! Not only I will come back to this place again and many times again in the future. Their French fries are delicious and fresh, it was good enough to actually beat McDonald's French fries. The patty was juicy and good but it was not enough hot temperature and double patty with cheese was too much and Jalapeño was really helpful to me. Hamburger has high calories so #1 char burger without cheese would be better if you think about calories. And I don't really recommend togo cause I couldn't eat rest of them except patty. I ordered A double char with cheese, onion rings and a shake! Pretty Simple. The burger didn't' impress me at all...actually VERY SALTY..and I love me's some salt....WAYYY TOO MUCH!
