This Habitat for Humanity Restore is now closed. They have moved to 5201 Main Street in north Joplin. Although they do not have as many building materials as they carried in their old store, they have a larger facility and things are much more organized. You likely won't find everything you need to complete a project, but occasionally you can find enough materials for an inexpensive way to start a new improvement. Always a good choice for nails, screws, and painting supplies. read more

!!!DON'T TAKE YOUR NEWBORNS TO CHILDREN'S HAVEN!!! New mom…read more Went to be evaluated & treated for post partum depression. It's two days before Christmas. The roads have snow. My baby is 6 days old. my baby was there for 2 days. I called at 10am to let them know I'm picking up between 3:30-4:30pm. When I arrived I asked a couple times about the clothes I brought my baby in with. They said in the box. They were not in the box. 3 sleepers, two footed pants, 2 bodysuits and a hat. They should have an inventory sheet. They were informed 5 hours ahead of time. When going out to the car, I was having a hard time putting the car seat in, I asked a staff (the supervisor's wife) to help me put the seat in. She was rude & looked to have difficulty putting the seat in as well. When we arrived home & went to take the car seat out. She DID NOT buckle the seatbelt in, the seatbelt strap WAS NOT LOCKED TIGHT IN PLACE. She did not bother TO INFORM ME. If we had a car accident on our way home, she would of been the reason why my baby died. New mom, 6 days old, 2 days before Christmas. Going through post partum depression. I am still grieving the adoption with my first born at 18 due to no stability & support. I am diagnosed with PTSD with history of suicide attempts. My baby came home with diaper rash from sitting in soiled diapers too long, I know they have diaper rash cream and didn't use any on my baby by the looks of it. The supervisor's wife needs to be yanked from working at children's haven. Should be trained how to do car seats without a base, they should of been checking babies for dirty diapers periodically.

I was traveling through Joplin and wanted a place to work out. They offer a day pass for $10. The weight room has precor and cybex brand machines. All In good shape. They have a good compliment of free weights and racks also. Other than weights, there is an aerobic room with a slew of machines. A large indoor rubber track with four lanes circles the upstairs. Large indoor pool. Locker room is large and they will provide you with a lockable locker. Floor was a little littered with some trash but overall clean. I can definitely recommend for travelers.

Clean surroundings, friendly staff, and good locker space just add to making this YMCA one of the best I've seen. The only reason it's not 5-star is because of how full it can get during busy times.

We are in Bella Vista and with so much wildlife in and out of our yard they create a high density level of ticks. I called Network Pest control and they came out the very next day... treated the entire yard including flowerbeds and their treatment service includes the inside of the house!!! WHAT A WONDERFUL ALL-INCLUSIVE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE! As well they were so patient and interactive when communicating with them regarding our problem and our needs. We never received this service of extermination of the inside of properties. Normally if the properties get exterminated they are done outside and I needed something done right away .... So I had to pay the cost. My husband was getting bit all over his arms and they were like chicken pox (swollen).... I had Brandon from this company come out to exterminate for bugs, which turned out to be Bed Bugs (which I had no idea that I had that problem)... I felt so embarrassed and Brandon reassured me that it was probably NOT my fault as it can happen to the best of us who have people visit us as they might have bed bugs attached to their clothing and bed bugs travel with people through luggage; through business airline seats ; at restaurants seats; from hotels and the best of upper-end resorts. So-- I felt better knowing that this bug is quite common . Brandon was very detailed in showing me what a bed bug looked like and where to look for them and came up with my total cost for his services. His extermination service came in 3 visits instead of one for a total cost of $275. Most exterminators charge that fee for just one application...I have not seen a bed bug since and he finished exterminating for Bed Bugs a week ago. I liked his service so much that I hired him on for a monthly basic service ($45.) a month to spray for other bugs (peaty creatures) and this will be done monthly until I say to stop. I recommend him and feel he is honest and trustworthy as we had to leave our premises for over 2 hours and he was very careful with moving our furnitures when finished. Today, I'm totally happy and trust that if we have that problem again, he will be available to help again.
