He did a great job of communicating prior to and after the class via email and text message - even following up to ensure I received the email with my class certificates and the document I needed to submit to the State with my permit application. Jake covered the NRA materials for the class and weaved in his personal experiences from his time serving in the Marines as well as time spent working in armed security roles. He also has extensive experience in competitive shooting and is very knowledgeable on firearms and self defense. Jake did not just take me through the "motions" of class curriculum, but he also provided shooting tips that will definitely increase my accuracy at the shooting range.
