    Sushi burrito
    Mike V.

First time ever trying a sushi burrito in Times Square, I was told to check this place up by some locals and it definitely did not disappoint. I came back to New York and instantly made time to go back again, definitely I must have when visiting New York for a sushi burrito

Matcha green tea (slightly sweet and not very strong)

I was really excited to try a sushi burrito, but frankly after the experience here I don't think I care to try again in the future. First off, while I understand that nearly every vendor in this UrbanSpace location is absurdly marked up for the location/marketing to the working professionals in the area, this burrito was so not worth $15 (for the spicy tuna one, with an extra $2 for the wasabi guac that threw this to $17). I don't think I'd even pay $5 for it, because what I got was a soggy, oversalted mess of rice, veggies, soggy seaweed, and a couple chunks of tuna. To be fair I did get this at the end of the day, but ultimately I don't think that's any excuse for what felt like just a very poor job in putting together a fairly simple dish. The lady who did it obviously went ham on the soy sauce or whatever they use inside the burrito, which effectively ruined the whole thing. But even if it wasn't an oversalted and wet mess, I don't think the amount or quality of food you get is worth the $15 you'll have to part with (and I couldn't even taste the wasabi guac, so definitely pass on that). I also tried the matcha iced tea, which was too sugary and light on the matcha (basically did nothing to wake me up and only had a slight matcha taste). I did like the matcha popcorn bag that I bought, but I'm sure you could buy that elsewhere for less. Overall, give this place a hard pass, certainly for the burrito.

Japanese meets Mexican - looks better than it taste.

I really love sushi and I love Mexican but for some reason; it best to keep separate. Some flavor mix better than others. It was worth the try and maybe you would like it better. Def not my favorite though.

The veggies were brown. GROSS AS HELL.

EW WHOEVER GIVES THIS PLACE OVER 1 STAR NEEDS TO TRY A SUSHI BURRITO DONE RIGHT. I ordered a "flaming salmon" roll today and was truly shocked when they handed it to me right away once i paid. IT'S NOT MADE FRESH. FRIDGED RAW FISH that's already smothered with sauced... EWWWW so gross!1!!!!!! I'll attach a photo of the veggie inside the roll. SO unappetizing. NASTY as hell. Don't support them pls.

Sushi is definitely not my thing and when I heard about sushi burritos, I was apprehensive to try them. Hai Street has a great menu where they don't just have your typical sushi dishes. They have other options too that don't include raw fish. I got the Chicken Sushi Burrito and loved it. The wrap is seaweed and I got brown rice inside. It has a tangy sauce and the chicken inside is fried. It is huge and very filling. It may seem overpriced for a burrito but, it made for 2 meals because it's so big and filling. This specific one I went to is in Urbanspace. The line was not long and the staff was very nice and quick. I got my burrito in less than 10 minutes.

I'm not sure why the mixed reviews , but when you put 2 of my favorite things together with Sushi and a burrito , it's a big win, All the ingredients are very fresh and the service is very quick , it was full of flavor , easy to eat and I would defiantly go back for more.

Value: 4/10 Experience: 6/10 Taste: 4/10 Overly hyped location without the taste to back it up. Honestly would have rather eaten the sushi cut up normally or a regular burrito. Value: I got the spicy tuna burrito with avocado for $17, way too expensive! The burrito was averaged sized and will fill you up since there is a lot of rice. They don't even close the ends so it's literally just a thick uncut sushi. It also cost $3 to add avocado... Experience: Servers were friendly and I got the food quickly. It's inside urban space so there's no designated area for Hai Street. Taste: The burrito was bland and lacked the balance of flavor regular sushi has. I couldn't really taste the tuna because it was covered by the picked radishes and massive dose of wasabi. I had to stop eating at times because I was just getting mouthfuls of wasabi...definitely needs to be more spread out...Because the burrito wasn't folded tightly or closed on the sides it also fell apart as I was eating it. I was super excited to try this place but honestly left extremely disappointed.

It's located inside urbanspace Vanderbilt. They have 4 options for the sushi burritos; spicy tuna, spicy salmon, shrimp tempura, or chicken katsu. I opted for the spicy salmon. It wasn't spicy and I wish there was more flavor from the fish as well. All you could really taste was the veggies. I'm glad there wasn't a lot of rice in it. I expected a lot more.

    Spicy salmon poke bowl.
    Elaine H.

Hmm how should I phrase this? I was really into the concept of sushi-burrito after reading it on various sources, and Hai Street, according to them, is one of those better ones. Not really in the mood of wraps, I opted for Poke bowl, another favorite of mine. Unfortunately, they ran out of Ahi tuna by the time I got there (around 9pm) so I went with the spicy tuna instead. Things I loved: salmon was marinated well and the light garlic flavor made it even tastier. Things I dislike: rice was as hard as a piece of rock! I must say I have been to much better Pokebowl places and Hai Street is just mediocre. I would not return.

    Tuna burrito. Don't get this.

This two star rating is solely for their tuna sushi burrito. I've been craving for a sushi burrito for a while, but Pokeworks is a little too far for me to get there during lunch time. This past Friday, I gave in to this place for lunch because UrbanSpace is a lot closer to my work. I very much regretted leaving my coworkers' planned lunch place to come here. Ordered a Tuna Sushi Burrito, and after I opened it, the "tuna" looked like apple sauce but in spicy tuna color. Because of how liquidity the tuna was, the amount of vegetables complete overshadowed the "tuna". I am quoting the word because I honestly don't even know what it was. The resulted burrito is more of a crunchy veggie burrito with apple-sauce-textured tuna wrapped in soggy seaweed. Not to mention that the burrito was $13. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE. This is day two since consuming that burrito, and I am still so upset about it.

I ordered the sushi burrito here with salmon and brown rice after seeing all the craze online. It may look pretty but I was quite disappointed with the taste. It was quite tasteless and nothing too special about it. I would skip this next time.

    Shibi M.

Pretty. Healthy. And actually rather filling. Got the tuna one. It was good. Not that spicy. Good balance of ingredients. The rice was pretty average. After watching that Netflix special, Hiro Dreams of Sushi, I'm paying closer attention to rice now. Cuz you know, because I've watched one documentary, I'm obviousslly a sushi expert. Obvi haha.

so so good, right by my office which is super convenient. i wish there was more of a "create your own" option but the veggie option they have available is great so i don't even mind. ingredients are super fresh, and the service is super quick.

We didn't have reservations and were told there would be about a 20-minute wait, which was totally fine. However, once we were seated, everything went downhill. We sat for 15-20 minutes without being greeted or even offered water. It wasn't until someone in my party got up to ask for a server that we finally received any attention. Our server came over, took our drink and food order, and then disappeared for the rest of the night. We never saw her again. The bartender and a food runner ended up bringing out our drinks and food--but only half of our order arrived. We were told the rest would be coming, but it never did. One person in our party of three was left without food while the other two of us ate. I tried to wait, but after a long time it became clear the missing dish wasn't coming. Once again, someone had to get up and ask for assistance since our server never checked back. Even after we finished eating, our dirty plates remained on the table while we sat there waiting, which added to the frustration. At that point, nearly an hour had passed with no resolution. The host did offer a complimentary drink, but honestly, that didn't make up for the experience. We eventually decided we no longer wanted the missing meal. Ironically, as we were paying and preparing to leave, the food finally came out. Given how poorly everything was handled, the dish should have been comped, but it wasn't. Overall, the lack of service and attention completely overshadowed what could have been a nice dining experience. I would not recommend this place.

We each paid $184 including tip, but it's definitely worth it for a special occasion or to spoil yourself a bit.

We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.
