There is a large signpost above the door. There is a window at the front which is semi-opaque. The front of the salon looks a little dated. Parking is available either on the busy road outside or in a residential street opposite. There is also a free carpark behind Tesco's nearby although this will mean a ten minute walk. Margaret's definately caters for the more mature client and there is a sort of social club atmopshere inside. There is often many ladies sitting inside getting their hair done or waiting for a perm to set. This friendly atmosphere is lovely but you need to be over 50 to enjoy it! The staff are skilled at helping the older ladies to achieve a modern, comfortable hair style. They are lovely to talk to and make you feel very welcome and relaxed.

Parking is available just across the road and around the corner at the free Tesco's carpark. The road around the salon is busy but once inside the noise of the street is muted and it is a calm, relaxing environment. The salon has a charming, fun appearance to it with the main sign having a cartoonish, young look to it. The facade is clean and bright. There is a windowed front but it is somewhat obscured by the decor. Inside it is clean and you can feel at ease. This is one of many hair dressing salons in the area but this one seems to cater to all sorts of clientele, from young to old. The staff are really lovely and very helpful in aiding your hair styling decisions. Price wise this is average in comparison to the other salons in town.
