Yesterday, I set an appointment with deb. At first, I asked her if she could cut my hair at my home... Not in my home but on the porch. She said she didn't feel comfortable going to people's homes. This was fine and I understood her concern. However, in this conversation, I found out that she only takes one customer at a time in her shop through appointments. Being at risk from the coronavirus, I thought this would work but I had a few requirements myself. 1. we both wear masks. 2. if either of us needs to sneeze or cough then we move away from each other - out of mutual respect. 3. I didn't want to have a conversation during that 15 minute haircut. She agreed so we set up an appointment. The next day she sent me a text on my phone wanting to cancel the appointment because she felt my requirements were too much. I was prepared to tip her extra for any inconvenience but I guess 25 dollars for a 15 minute haircut wasn't enough? Anyway, I am glad she contacted me to cancel if she had a problem with my requirements. It would have been better if she would have told me they were too much at the time I made the appointment... but I just realized - she was right... although my requirements wasn't asking too much out of her - We were not a good fit for each other for a 15 minute haircut... Maybe she thought I was going to ask her for her hand in marriage or something... hahaha... Anyway, So much for satisfying a customer over what I call common sense during this pandemic. I wished her luck in the future but it will be without me. But, I won't recommend her to anyone. read more
