Galina is extremely knowledgeable in her craft and a talented individual. She took the time to do a strand test because of my particular situation just to see if everything will turn out okay. She worked tirelessly and obsessively until she reached the exact result I wanted. I love Galina! She's not my colorist- I am. But I called her up a year ago to tell her about something I wanted to do to my hair and she told me to come visit her and that she would check how my hair is and help me to pick out a good Schwarzkopf color blend that I was trying to achieve... for free. (I had never met her before.) I was eager to talk about color lifting without bleach so I met with her. I intended to do my own hair and less than two weeks later I injured my right wrist so I called her to ask her if she could do it for me. If you ever used Pravana color remover to lift you'd know it takes a LONG time with a lot of scrubbing so I'm glad I didn't have to do the scrubbing. Galina then also gave me a huge discount. I haven't seen her since because I do my hair every two to three weeks but I've thought about making an appointment with her at least twice since. If you've seen the pics here you can see what a beautiful job she does with color. In my opinion, a colorist needs to be good at determining how to do the science right to get the shade they want and just as important is to know what shades are most flattering for you personally. I Booked an consultation with Galina after looking through her Instagram ,yelp and seeing all the pretty blonde, color melting, and balayages. I came in with extremely damaged, overprocessed, and kind of light green shaggy hair. Galina was super nice and friendly! I had multiple ideas I wanted for my hair and always open for interpretations (I can never decide on anything) and asked her for her opinion which was to avoid bleach and do a color melt to avoid further damage/breakage and make my hair blend together better. For the haircut I had very uneven hair from all the damage (I also had a chunk of hair on the bottom oh my head that had gone missing from a past salon melting it off that I had never noticed until Galina pointed it out). She informed me of what she could do for a more flattering look with my long bobbed hair. The best part was the color transformation! I was super nervous at first since I wasn't sure about what would happen with the green tint still in my hair, but She fixed it at the bowl with some red to neutralize and color correct it (She was super informative too!). I was super excited to see the final result and I was not disappointed! All the salon visits I've had before this one have been the usual "I like it" and then go home and cry about it, but this time I was actually excited at how amazing it looked and my friends on social media definitely agree.
