The first time I went in, I requested a minimal trim, which should've been no more than half an inch yet. At least 2 inches were cut off. With high reservations, I decided to go back, but definitely not with the same person to cut my hair. After a lengthy discussion with the person that made my appointment for today, I was booked with a manager. When I showed up for the appointment, it had been changed to somebody else yet I was never notified or asked. I was told somebody else wanted to book with my original person so I was just moved. Never had a problem with them in the past. Been coming here for years. Booked an appointment for today 11/8 at 1:30pm. Arrived early at 1pm. At 1:25pm they stated if I could wait a little bit longer until 1:45 due to another customer needing more time. I said okay. At 2pm I went to the desk to ask when I would be seen they then proceeded to tell me I would have to wait even longer for just a basic haircut without a blow dry. There were people who had appointments at 1:30, 1:45, 2 that were all being taken care of at their time except for me. It was extremely upsetting especially since this was a haircut I needed for my wedding in a few days. The only nice person who explained everything and apologized was Roxana. So if you guys come here book with her. She was very sympathetic. But in the end I didn't get my haircut and have to go somewhere else. Please work on communication and making sure customers are seen at their appointment time. Because I didn't even choose a specific specialist it could've been anyone. read more

My go to place for a blow out and style. Cirila used to do a great job and I went to her multiple times. However, she doesn't work there anymore. After that I tried a couple other stylists and did not like the way they styled my hair. Finally found Allison!! She does an amazing job. Takes her time and does not rush. Good to take an appointment and go. Weekend's are busy. Go in the evening's as it's not crowded. They are open till 9pm on weekdays and that is super convenient to go after work. Just one thing to note - I have noticed stylists charge different. I have paid from $35 to $50 plus tip for a blowout and style. read more

Immediately as my friend and I finished with our stylists here on the afternoon of New Year's Eve, I was a little worried. We looked a bit too pageant ready, a little too Southern and Honey Boo Boo or listas para la quinceanera, with our tight long hair curls, and I was wondering if going to a Florida salon had been a good idea versus just doing curling our own hair. Hours later though as we arrived to our party in downtown Tampa and at the stroke of midnight (January 1, 2016!) our hairstyles looked divine. Then our hair held up into the wee hours of the morning. It was a good idea to trust the stylist who said that the curls would loosen a bit over time. I asked my stylist, Dre (Drea?) to do a curled, side swept style. Although the curls started off much tighter than all the bridesmaid updos I have done back in California, ultimately I got the look I wanted. I appreciate that before we started she gave me a quote, which was pretty fair ($35) as I think fancier salons would count the style I did as a full on $50 updo. Hair Cuttery is nicer than a Super Cuts or Fantastic Sam's but is definitely more of a budget salon as their pricing includes $17 for a shampoo/haircut or a shampoo/blowout. The salon doesn't take appointments, but they have a check-in system on the web where you can check-in as you're driving down to the salon to lessen your wait time. When we did it, we got a confirmation but the salon ended up not receiving it. That delayed us an extra 20 minutes or so as we then had to wait once we got there. read more

The boy has 2 cowlicks right next to each other and the hair pattern is in 2 different directions and Angela does her thing to make my son look amazing. I don't have to cut down any hair or anything. Took my son twice for a haircut, both haircuts were horrible but the second one was truly awful. his hair and fade were so uneven it looked like he had bald spots when he has a full head of hair. I wouldn't recommend ever doing business here. I don't even think they have a license to cut hair with how horrible they did. I could have done better job myself. read more

I wouldn't normally go in to a Hair Cuttery for a color but walked in to get a simple long bang cut and had a "feeling" about Danny. Ended up with a balayage and cut and overall best hair experience I've had in a VERY Long time! Danny was absolutely fantastic, he took his time and did a great job and I'd recommend him to anyone. FYI- about a month before this I went to Stella Luca ( paid double) for a bad dye job. Danny was doing a correction- which takes a lot more skill and time. read more

I went there to have a trim and first person that cut my hair did not want to wash my hair but picked up pieces of my hair and cut off dead ends. I was only there for a few minutes. When I got home I realized how uneven my hair was and called and told the manager I was not happy with the cut. She told me to come in and she cut it but it was even worst. It was uneven all over and in the front of my hair it was one inch longer than the other. Its a lot shorter than I want it and it will take several months to grew out. They have eyebrow services which I was unaware of until today but I think it's a great service to offer customers making it more convenient for customers not to have to travel to another place to get additional services done. I went to this salon on July 30th to have a spiral perm done. The appointment was at 12:30 and lasted until completion at 4pm. Late that same evening I took a close look at my hair and saw the extent of the damage, my hair was FRIED!! I put the hairdresser on notice and also spoke to Gabrielle the manager and the assistant manager Hannah which physically inspected my hair and agreed it was severely damaged. They kicked it up to the "highest manager" for this store which is Stephanie Rivera. Miss Rivera is an under qualified manager which placed blame on her staff for her not returning my calls regarding my refund request. She advised me that no refund would be forthcoming unless they tried different processes. At this point I declined because I already had them damage it. So now I will be reporting this to DBPR and taking further actions as I am now forced to pay a qualified stylist to begin the healing process.
