I'd give 10 stars if I could... never in my 66 years has a stylist spent the time to get to know me and my hair, recommend product, which she doesn't sell in her shop, walk me through every step of styling my hair, because I'm challenged in all things hair related, and have a game plan where I will come in maybe twice a year, instead of my usual every 5 weeks for the same 'ol same 'ol. I talked to Taylor about my cut, and was very specific about keeping length. I sent a text with pictures of what I wanted of gradual layers. She told me that she could tell that I took really good care of my hair, and that it was in good condition for being so long. The scissors she used were dull. She didn't wet my hair, or compare lengths as she cut. Literally just started chopping. There really is no better word for it. I should have stopped her when it felt like when you try to cut yarn with dull scissors, but I was in shock! The 5 inches that I asked her to cut turned into easily 12 inches. Blunt, straight across my back cut. In front, the left side is at least two inches longer than the left. I am going to have to go to Fresno to have my friend's stylist blend the layers (which are also very blunt), and make the sides even. My ponytail is even lopsided. It's hard to look at down. I'm almost 49, and never felt like crying after a cut until now. She should stick to short hair, and buy new scissors. Take a refresher course on how to layer at the minimum. read more
