She's patient, sweet as can be, so accommodating, she's a professional and listens and directs me for what is best for what I'm hoping to achieve. I give her full control mostly because I absolutely trust her expertise. Her pricing is so reasonable (unlike a salon i wish I could name, but won't in Berwick, recommenced by a friend that charged me $260 - I was flabbergasted- for the same service Jonelle charged $75!) and it's always a day I look forward to.... I never go home crying for days and trying to fix what other salons have done to me. She follows covid guidelines completely and her salon is so clean and pleasant to be in. We chat about life and she's my therapist listening to my cares and woes...and although she's an acquaintance , I now consider her my friend. YOU CANT GO WRONG if you book an appointment with her or her other stylists....I've watched them and compliment their clients when walking out the door with lively steps. I moved to NYC 4 1/2 years ago, and I still come home to my parent's house and get my hair cut here. Lori is the BEST hair stylist I've ever had. No matter what I want done - new cut, trim, color, eyebrow wax, mani/pedi - she does it all and it always comes out WONDERFULLY. I've gotten my hair cut at various upscale NYC salons, sometimes paying up to $125 for a hair cut and nothing comes close to the way Lori cuts. She knows the basics so it always results in a good style. She listens, knows my hair and how I like it and delivers every time. Her pedicures are fantastic as well. A little pricier than what I'm used to in NYC ($30 here w/ french) but it's totally worth it - my feet are the smoothest and toes look perfect for a good two weeks. I can't say enough good about this place - although it could really use a serious facelift. The decor looks like it's straight out of the 70's. The quality service makes up for it, but it would be nice to see a little update. Another great thing is that you can book an appointment (especially if you have to have a few lengthy services) but you can also walk in and they're very accommodating. Haircuts run about $25 for women, pedicures are $25, eyebrows are $8, manicures are $10. An all-around color is around $30 (I think) and of course highlights vary. They also have tanning too, at a pretty cheap price ($30/month, I believe). Credit cards accepted which is always good too! All in all, a good salon for a great cut that never fails. I was very nervous about micro-blading because of the stories that circulate describing the excruciating pain that one experiences. Last year my daughter had her brows done by Shawn - she assured me that Shawn used numbing cream and was very attentive thruout the whole procedure making sure ther was no pain. About 6 weeks ago Shawn "created" brows for me. There was no pain - I love them - my only regret is that I did not have it done sooner. What a difference it makes to wake up in the morning - look in the mirror and have eyebrows - a real confidence builder! Shawn is very easy to talk with; he makes you feel very welcome & comfortable from the moment he greets you at the door. I told the guy on the phone, that I needed a set of full highlights, and that I have very fine hair and it processes super quick. I've always paid for this service , at other salons, right about $140. The gentleman on phone, quoted me $145. I was just appreciative that they could fit me in, so I went for service. I explained to stylist, that I ABSOLUTELY do not get toner on my hair, she tried to say I need it, but I did not want. After she washed my highlights out, she put something on my hair, (I thought she was giving 2nd shampoo) but when I asked, she BLATANTLY did NOT listen, and she applied toner. I asked her to rinse it right out. I was already upset by that. Then she gave me a "haircut", a 3 min haircut she just grabbed random sections of hair and cut. At this point, I just told her I had to go, so I left with wet hair, she didn't even have to blow dry or style . Wen I went to pay, she proceeded to tell me my total was $303.00??!!! I nearly fell over. I've NEVER paid that for 4 different services, and all I did was get highlights, (and I do not have alot of hair), and approx a 4 strand , 3 min trim , with no blow dry or style. Has ANYONE EVER have ANY salon , in this area , charge that, especially after quoted 145. Not even at High End salons, which are classy and have beautiful ambiance, have come close to charging that. And this place is a little, very old place, dingy and drab inside, but had audacity to charge that. How in good conscience, cod a business owner charge someone that. Definitely steer clear of this place, and lesson learned....even if need ur hair done asap, just wait and go to an honest, reputable salon

I've had my own hair cut by him, but most memorable for me was the time my mother went to him for a haircut: Right after her appointment, she showed up on my doorstep excited to show off her new look. She was absolutely thrilled by how much better she looked than before. And she truly did look worlds better. Rich was able to look at her and say, "These pieces here aren't doing anything for you," and cut her hair in a way that was very flattering to her features. Rich has an artistry that many hairstylists lack, and I suspect is impossible to teach. Either you've got it, or you don't. However, you have to pay for high quality; he's not cheap for this area. Last time I checked he was at about $40 for a cut.
