Becky also shared that Redken provides significant support in terms of education and knowledge to the Hair Loft team, which was evident in the way she handled my hair and how she educated me on my options. As someone who has been using henna for years, I was interested in lightening my hair. However, I was aware of the potential reactions between henna and bleach. Becky took the initiative to research my specific brand of henna and consulted with the Redken support team. Although I wasn't a candidate for lightening, she proposed some glazing options to blend my grays seamlessly without a drastic demarcation line. Moreover, she gave me the best haircut I've had in years! What made my experience even more special was Becky's kindness beyond the salon chair. Today it was my turn to get a hair cut & color. Yelp to the rescue! The name of this place was attractive to me, because I am a circus buff (and author of a circus book). So I looked at the reviews and all the fabulous pictures of hair here on Yelp, and took a chance. I called & made an appointment. I think it was with Lydia over the phone, and I went in today, for my appointment. We chatted. I like to give the basics about my hair & broad goals and tell my lady to just have fun. I told her about my trichtotillomania. I told her about my own color jobs - my roots were showing. The previous job was showing, and the very light ends were most of my head. The trichtotillomania had grown out in places on the top of my head and needed to be blended in so they would hide. I have previously had a wonderful hair dresser cut my hair very short (which I am okay with) to hide the ends I have pulled out. I am with a new partner who likes me to have long hair, so Lydia decided on a multi-layer haircut. And I told her I like ash blonde and pink and lavender / light purple. She went with darker roots to match my own roots "so it will grow out nicely" and she added pink and purple to the tips. There were 4 colors going on my head to make this happen!! 1 color for the roots, pink, light purple, and ash blonde for the ends of my hair. She did such a phenomenal job!! Worth every penny. I will definitely be going back and asking for Lydia the Tattooed Lady at The Bearded Lady Salon in Wichita. PS: There is also a super sweet dog here named Gretel. Gretel and I had a nice moment where I was petting her and she stayed with me so long as I was petting her. What a love bug she is.

They got me in the same day for a consultation did a test strand and decided on a colour, luckily my schedule was flexible that day and i was able to get in for the full colouring an hour later . The staff was absolutely wonderful and I was very impressed with how well they listened. Jess was the one who coloured my hair and chose what would cover the pink best and was asking other hair dressers their opinions as well because it was such a fresh bright colour and this eased my mind with the process. I am originally not from the area so i would highly recommend and i would also highly recommend jess as well, the other staff also seemed very sweet as well. The price was also reasonable for how they catered to me and two weeks later the result colour is still flawless.
