I booked my facial two weeks ago on the phone and was not asked for a card during booking. I got a call at 7:30 pm the day before my appointment and was asked for my card to confirm the appointment. I was walking my dog and didn't have my card. I was told I needed to go online and upload a card to their website before midnight in order to confirm my appointment. I did that. When I showed up the next day for my appointment, I was told it had been cancelled because I failed to upload a card. When I showed on my phone that I had uploaded a card, I was told they don't accept Amex and that my card wasn't accepted by the system and thus my appointment was cancelled. They apparently tried to call me that morning once but didn't leave a message. The person who did the facials didn't come in that day because i was their only appointment. It was very disappointing. That being said, the woman who was there was apologetic and offered to rebook me with a discount or do my nails. I ended up getting a pedicure from her that I thought was very good. She was friendly and did a great job with my pedicure!

Inside they continue with a glamour/boudoir theme with chandeliers, pink bows and flock wallpaper. I've had Natalie cut my hair here, and she was very nice and gentle handed. She listened carefully to what I wanted and double checked before cutting which was reassuring. Linda has cut my fringe here and she also did a great job. Both ladies seem to know everyone who comes in - and it is a busy salon as there wasn't a gap for two days when I called for an appointment. They also seem to be a favourite in the area to cut children's hair but don't worry if you have come here to relax - there is a firm notice on the door stating that children must be quiet and under control! It is certainly relaxing here, they keep the local radio on low. Aside from the hairdressers you can also get a massage and waxing of various hairy bits done here. The back rooms are split up into little modules for each of the treatments. Prices for haircuts are very good - I paid £16 for a wet cut and £2 for a quick fringe trim.

The staff are your usual very calm and collected young girls who make your eyelids droop just by talking to them, therefore if its relaxation you're after, it's relaxation you're going to get! I was very impressed with the back massage I had, but as it was a present one Valentine's Day, I don't think I could afford to do this on a regular basis. I am yet to try any of their other treatments, but just by going on the Valentine's Day special I had, I would definitely recommend them. It's also in a handy location - at the top of Park Street and down a little of Park Row meaning after that long walk uphill it's a perfect way to reward yourself!

I would say this is somewhere to go if you're more on a budget as they put on loads of offers pretty much all the time so you can get a good deal, but if you are after something a bit higher class I'd probably recommend heading up to Lido Spa in Clifton. The Treatment Rooms definitely offer a good service though, and the list of treatments they offer is pretty extensive - you can get real Thai massages, all sorts of wax's, facials, manicures and the list goes on. The place itself from the outside doesn't look that great, but inside it's well done up, clean, and modern - and the staff are all really friendly. This is the sort of place that you will have to book in advance though, as being in a good location and offering good prices it gets very busy so you will have to try and get an appointment in advance.

I like the fact that they do other things apart from nails such as facials and things. I personally think its a bit expensive for me, but I never splash out on things like this. I'd tried everything i could to stop, but i even got used to the taste of the horrible stuff you paint onto your nails which is meant to taste so horrible you won't even think about putting your lips near what was left of your cuticles. I was going strong for about 2 weeks, when i was walking past Creations with my boyfriend who said that if i kept it up for a month then he'd treat me. Perfect idea. I managed for over a month and took a trip to Creations to get my nails done professionally. I was so excited to finally have nails and there were so many other options, patterns, colours and styles to choose from that i was a bit overwhelmed and opted for the safe bet of the French Manicure. It wasn't terribly expensive, and there are great set deals in Creations which give you the chance to have four different parts of your body pampered for only £20.

I also had my eye brows waxed which look great and good value, the girl was funny and friendly exactly how you want a therapist to be. The layout: The building is oddly laid out there is a pretty shop downstairs and the actual salon is 4 floors up! There are signs that point to reception being upstairs. When i was having my massage all i could hear was the floor upstairs creaking which was not very relaxing! Negatives: when i found the reception i waited 15 minutes to be welcomed, a young lady said hello and left me there and i presume the owner/manager came and made me feel a bit uncomfortable stating no one knew i was there and they had been waiting for me.....hmm man your reception desk then i was thinking, but being ever polite..i didnt say that. Having endured several cruel asides about my orange palms, streaky knees, brown cuticles and crusty, muddy elbows, when I was due to be bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding I decided to call in the experts. But, knowing I was attending a wedding in a visible role with my dearest friends (and harshest critics), I decided arriving the mahogany tone of David Dickinson or the orange hue of an Oompa Loompa was not desirable. I trawled the websites of Bristol's beauty salons and decided it was best to avoid the San Tropez nightmare. I Candy does a really good range of airbrush tans, so I plumped for them. Yes you do have to drop trou and don the paper panties, but I promise you, you won't end up looking like Ross from friends. The result was so good and realistic that I decided to go with them on my own wedding day. I was somehow also persuaded to go for bio-sculpture gel on my finger and toe nails and, desperate to be the perfect bride, I agreed. However, I found it to be a really destructive force on my nails. The woman at the salon did assure me the layers would come off with a strong remover but that was not the case. And when I did finally get them off, the nails underneath where like brittle, wrinkled grapes. It's taken six months for them to recover. So, I would say go here for spray tans, but not for nails. They do do a range of other treatments from the more invasive treatments like skin tag removal, electrolysis and teeth crystals to the more standard like main-pedis, waxing and facials. The only other treatment I've used is waxing, which was fine and I'm sure many of the other treatments would be. But the salon is a bit shabby inside and I think the service could be better and more personal.
