In my humble opinion too expensive but then aren't most good hair dressers?! Now the good stuff, the salon is super cool and the chairs where you get your hair washed so comfy! I've never had a hair cut there I didn't like, which is unusual for me and all of my colours have been lovely! The stylists listen to you but also aren't shy to say what they think won't suit you. All in all a good place to go, but not that often unless your flash for cash!

Second point: they gave me an appointment at 8pm, which is great as I normally work until at least 6pm. The shop in itself is very cute in the way its furnished with old dressing tables and old fashioned lamps. Makes it look very hipster. Yes, they over a glass of wine as well as a great service. The hairdresser (sorry, forgot you name love) discussed my style with me and took in comments during cutting it. In the end the cut was a bit too short, but I'm sure it will grow out nicely.

I was struggling to find a decent barbers in Barbican/Farringdon, until I stumbled on this place. Cliffords is a breath of fresh air. No uber-trendy piped music, mincing 'style-technicians' cutting your hair or massive prices here! This place probably hasn't changed its decor for the past 20 years, but I don't care... this is a good, old fashioned barber shop. And if you want to get your hair cut, have a good chat with the friendly, professional staff and walk out with a very nice cut.. Cliffords is where I suggest you head. I've been in there twice now, can't remember the name of the guy who cut my hair.. (middle-aged, dark hair, looks Italian) but he's done it really good on two occasions and I'm going to keep going there. £8.00 a pop can't be bad!

The shop is old school in the best way. The price is right (less than a tenner). The cuts - no nonsense. There are a few barbers there, but I've had the same one twice now. Was it Clifford? I didn't catch his name, but he's a friendly chap - good with the convo but not overly chatty. For men living or working around the Barbican, this is a super convenient place to tame your mane. There are more hoity toity and high falutin' barbers aroudn the area. However, if you know what you want, don't want to pay a lot for it and you're keen to actually enjoy the experience, consider Clifford's.

A small but lively shop this place is nearly always busy so be patient. You could always read todays papers or watch the TV (sometimes in Italian) while you wait or join in the many conversations about various topics that take place. Everyone has always got an opinion. Back to business, you always get a decent haircut here and the prices are reasonable too. You nearly always get offered tea or coffee. Very few local people walk buy without sticking their head inside the door to say hi to Louie and the boys, which sometimes involves a racing tip or two. After having been…read moreripped off by his previous staff who tried to take over the salon and its customers after ignoring warnings from Mario they were sacked, so now Mario's on his own in the salon and consequently the prices have risen although not excessively. I'd happily tell potential clients needing a hair cut to try him out. To reduce waiting time there's an appointment system in use which is a good idea because you know exactly when you are going to get your hair cut.
